You might want to poke holes in the soil....helps get oxygen down in the root area. Pencil, chopstick....maybe 5-6 holes in soil to aeriate. You have enough holes in bottom of container to drain? Might want to add a few more, or make the present ones a little larger to drain adequately. Other than water lillies, most plants don't like soggy feet! ;o) Sm. fan blowing on low might help take some humidity out of your out building. I wait and water (2-3 gallon pots, azalea containers) after top soil (2" or so) is dry, but there is dampness below. At this early stage as long as you don't have root damping off, it will survive.
