I have a set of sprung bags been using them for 2 years just as good as bubble bags imo for half the price.

Just got myself some bubble bags , have only one auto growing at the moment so I wont have much trim but how much hash will I get from one plant`s trim?
Cant wait to have a full harvest and check what these babies can do.

dont get upset but you wont get what you want with one plant. you might want to dry and freeze that trim till you have atleast 2 oz of trim b4 you make a run with your bags, just dont want you to make a run and think that your bags were a waste of money. if you realy want to use the bags on one plants trimmings you can try dry ice with your bags youll get some good keif and can see how it all works. of course this is just my :2cents::bong:

I know I just kinda got them at a bad time and now I have the bags in front of me I want to play with them hah.
I geuss I have to wait until next harvest and just dry and freeze the trim until Ive got enough.
In the meantime il see if I can get any unwanted trim from friend`s grows.

Ever since Weeds season 6 everyone and their brother think they can make high quality hash easily in quantity, so it's really hard to find anyone to get free trim from unless it's a buddy... Also the market has a lot of sub par hashes that come from inexperienced bag users, there are plenty of ways to screw up a good batch of hash, one of the most common mistakes is to use a bladed mixer. This will yield ok but there will be more plant material and less intact trics compared to a more gentle way of mixing, like using an actual food mixer with big long paddles set on its lowest setting. The idea is to knock the heads of the trics off while leaving the rest filtered out, high speeds and sharp implements wreck the whole trics and squish or cut them to be mixed in with the green plant material.... I wont get into the whole process but suffice to say there are many tricks that can help get you better end results...

Why wouldnt you go into the whole process ?Is that not the piont of the thread?
Iv had a food mixer modified with long paddles before I had the bags , what are these tricks you speak of?

It is most definitely the point of the thread to help figure out what to do with the trimmings, but as far as making hash goes, it deserves it's own thread title. Also I am here trying to help a lot of different people with all sorts of questions not to mention keep my grows going and I've been sick for 2 weeks, I don't have endless time... It didn't seem prudent to insert a book in the middle of a thread who's title does not advertise a "how to" on hash making...

However, I'll throw a couple tips in here, for bubble bags; and that would be to use very well crushed ice. the gocery and liquor stores should have the nice small cube crushed ice. This helps to cut/knock off the tops of the trics without bruising/squishing them like a blade would Also try not to grind dried trimmings too much if at all, this only increases plant material in your hash, personally I use un dried fresh frozen leaves which will bend but not break up too much as it is stripped of its resin, also starting with moist trim saves you the time of submerging/soaking every bit of trim before starting to mix... Another good tip is to layer your bubble bags carefully so there is at least an inch in between each of the screens at the bottom, this will allow more of the right sized trichomes into the designated bags as they all wont pile up on the first one so much.
The biggest problem I see is to fast mix speed or impatience. So take your time and get it right and don't use any fan leaves for hash making unless they are very covered in trichomes...

There is some more there for ya, but I think soon I will start a thread in a week or two, (maybe even do a video of some plush berry hash making) that is actually dedicated to my hash method, so stay tuned but don't push me to it please.
