I recently got some Neville's Haze flower from a local rec dispensary, to compare with the World of Seeds Neville's Haze Ryder I grew
earlier this year. (The budtender had
no clue what Neville's Haze was
.) Qualitatively very similar in taste and effects, the NHR is clearly cut from the same cloth. The taste had a distinctive note I've seen best described as incense or metallic, and it had a deeply weird, intensely multi-phased high: starting out rocket-euphoric, then suddenly changing gears and going meta-meta-metacognition psychedelic, then deeply introspective, then thinking in computer code, twisting and turning through a series of distinct brain states (with a couple more I struggle to describe) and finally ending up feeling clearheaded but a bit couchlocked, only realizing how spaced out I still was when I tried to work through some thoughts on paper.
The NH flower seemed a little stronger, though I suspect that came from more density rather than a substantial difference in potency -- rather than using a grinder, I use my dynavap's serrated tip to tear a chunk off a bud. It's typically around 0.1g, but depends on density, and I didn't try to compare with an equal weight of the NHR. Similar effects from the auto when I vaporize a little more, though. The dispensary flower was tested at 17.8% THC (+/- 10%, according to Michigan labeling
). World of Seeds's website says 21% for their NH auto, I haven't had mine tested but around 20% wouldn't surprise me.
If any US-based seedbank ever stocks WoS's NHR I'll definitely grab another pack. I have two seeds left, and I will probably backcross the NHR crosses I made to those when I grow them.
