Harvest & Curing What are the main factors in low harvest?

Hoveritis - the completely understandable act of new growers thinking they need to be constantly attending to something. Usual indications are...

1) not going more than a few hrs without checking. something
2) over manipulation when using LST techniques.
3) Inappropriate feeds (not balanced)
4) lack of correct tools or not understanding how to use them correctly. (Ph and ppm meters etc)

As near as I can figure, we all start this way to some extent.

These are very supportive points to focus. I believe I understand LST stressing levels in my last application

Feeding is like a monster for me. I mostly focusing the scheledule by supplier, rarely lowering the amounts.

I can deal with ph I guess. I got dropper for levels, mostly on good levels.

But the ppm thing is totally blank for me cause I dont use any Co2 supportive too. Last time when I ask about CO2 in an other forum, I understand that there is no point if your area not totally sealed and controllable. I was used CO2 once some said there is no need for bag. I maybe think to try traditional way of Co2 productive system (like yeast*sugar mix in bottles). Do you think its worht to try?

I gave them 20/2 light schedule. Thats what I see on breeder posts.
There is much empirical evidence that a longer night time is needed and is easy to verify on the web. I like personal experience and often test theories myself. When I first started growing indoors with a friend at his place. We ran 3 tests with six plants in each test. They had to be from seed because autos and clones don't work. So there could be variation in the test because of the seeds but it was as close as we could get. All of the seeds were from the same pack of 25 Dinafem White Widow Autos. The first grow was 24/0 the second was 20/4 and the third was 18/6. I did this long before I was posting to cannabis forums. The 24/0 had the largest yield with the poorest quality, Flavor, Aroma and buzz. It ripened the fastest. The 20/4 Had nearly the same yield and time frame as the 24/0 but the quality was better. Then the 18/6 was less yield by about 10% which was almost 3 oz. but the quality was so far superior to the others that I have grown with 18/6 since then. I would rather have quality over quantity any day. We were using HID lighting and the power savings was substantial as well even though the 18/6 ran two weeks longer.

Ppm meter is for mixing your nutrients. Some call it an EC meter. Same same.

Honestly I don't see a reason to supplement CO2 in most grows. Most (including myself) would see more benefits from polishing up our A game than adding co2.

Very appraciated about the first hand testing comment. Im going to try deffinetely on my next grow. What are you using as nutritent. Have you every used those premixed powders? Looks like I can only buy Greenhouse Feeding Powders. Feeding scheledule of powder solutions sounds more organic and less time consuming. What do you think?

As a new grower my first try was terrible using bad bulb led lights thinking I could just start with those. I was wrong well maybe because the 2nd try was with a better light and I did get better results but not much better. So I tried nutrients on my 3rd try and also found this forum but still had a sub-par plant. On my 4th try using all of the above plus testing ph I have hit a much better sweet spot and finally have something decent. But I also did not do any training other than tucking some leafs. Each plant i am trying to learn and improve but you need a good baseline to start.

It's nice to see things for yourself or from a person who's experienced it first hand. Very interesting though even personally on a smaller scale and I wasn't testing just running same nutes feeding schedule and they got more under 24/0 but they were less happy with the quality of the smoke then what I produced with the 18/6 in going to have to show him this quote.
