I’m thinking about defoliating quite heavily but at day 51 I’m wondering if it’ll do more harm than good. Any thoughts gents? I think she’ll go 84 days easy.

Hello frank i would a little if there is bud sites not getting eny light but when you take the leaves off you a binning the plants energy store so i tend to only cherry pick which leave to take off

Because she’s so squat I’d like more light penetration and there are more bud sites. Kinda thinking I’m going to have a lot of popcorn

In my 2 sq. ft. cab, I defoliate all the way through harvest as needed because of space issues. I think the conventional wisdom is that lower bud sites need air and light to develop but I think that is not a universally held belief (i.e. MoG) FWIW, YMMV, IMHO, etc.

I’ve taken maybe 15 leaves off but as she’s so damned bushy that’s just a drop in the ocean. I’ve read MoG’s thoughts and maybe Blue as well. I also took maybe six buds off that were never going to amount to anything. If I do end up fcking up it’s not the end of the world but I think she will power through it. I think we see eye to eye on the issue. Thanks for adding your thoughts

Im on team defol. During my last flower i opted for the defol approach of removing inward facing leaves and any fans that really shaded lower bud sites. This time i am trying to promote quality over quantity so I chopped off a bunch of lower bud sites and all it seamed to do was make her stretch even harder.
