Ok just as a quick note ive grow quite a few photo strains with no problems. Here it is i have 2 snowryders,2himalayan blue diesels and 1 shot adrenaline. all germinated just fine and then i put them under a t5 6500k. and they just seems soo weak and 3 of them just fell over. ive never seen such weak seedlings. is this normal and if it is is there anything i maybe able to do to get better results.

Hey B. Welcome to AFN. Sorry for your troubles good sir that sucks to hear. Nice strains and lights. Let's go over some things:::::::::::

>What kind of medium are you using?
>What germination method did you use?
>How deep did you plant them?
>What are your temperatures and humidity levels?

I'm no expert but I know my way around a little. I can maybe help you pinpoint the problem with some more info. AFs are kinda finicky compared to photos. Good vibes.

hey there squidherb thanxs for intro and your willingness to help. ive got them in peat pellets (never had any problems with peat b 4) i know it seems rather harsh but i had to remove the seed shell and this coating on the cotyldon. i just had to i germed this seed 5 days ago and just could bear to see them like that. im very gentle and had no problems with the operation. they even opened up for sum light but 2 days later they just drooped over and dont look soo good. im hoping they pull through. And as i await your return im gonna check out ur profile and see all the fantastic work you have done. thanxs bro

Ohh yea temp is 77f and the humidity is between 40 and 50% i beileve. i have a mechanical gage thats probably not acurate but at all cost ive never had problems with any other strains just these autos. i just thought id try these. especially since my last grow i did was a photo strain and i had it vegging for 2 months and it ended up a male. i thought i would try sum quicker plants. so i dont waste a ton of veg time only to have a male.

B-Leaf,how high do you have your lights over the seedlings? When i start seedlings under the T5 i keep the light 8" above them until they adjust to it and then i'll slowly lower it over the course of a week until its 2" from their tops.

You could have damping off, this is caused by the soil being to wet which in turn causes some of the roots and the stem at soil level to rot.You never said anything about soil dampness so im just stateing a problem that could happen.

Hey namvet nah its not root rot i only water them like every 8 hours or so. i give them water in the morning and wait for it to dry by then its usually evening b 4 they get more. today they are looking better. i have switched from my t5 to my 150w hps. and its about 18" above them and the temp is at 77. i also have 2 26w 6500k cfl's just soo they dont stretch too much. i turn it on at night maybe for 6 hours. right now i got the lights goin 24. Anyway just taking longer than usual im just going to leave them o it and hope they will pull through.

Hey buddy. Thanks for going to check me out. I don't have a whole lot going on right now. I'm still(and always will be, don't think it ever stops) learning from all these guys here. I have done a TON of critical research and followed threads and asked questions. I was going to ask about light distance too. Didn't think about root rot.
>How much are you watering?
>You say every 8 hours. Is that a mist or a water water?
>And are you judging the dryness of your soil by the visible top layer or are you checking a few inches down?
>How close were your T5s before you switched to your HPS?

hey squid they are doin alittle better bro. i check there wetness quite easily they are in jiffy pellets so i can check all surfaces really. um its just been a battle with temps really. one day outside temps are 80 next day lower 30's. so everything was fine inside thats why i put the hps on to keep everything warm. now i have just the cfls which have more lumens than my t5. crazy lights. soo yea they look like they are pulling through. ughh i cant wait for this weather to even out. i will post a grow log with pics soon. im just ashamed of my babies right now. when they start lookin better be prepared for a good show. its great to met you bro ill send ya a friend requests and i can check up on ya. peace

Wow that is a huge temperature variation. That could be your problem. And yeah I forgot they were in jiffy pots, don't think it's overwatering. I hope it turns out. Someone else will maybe be able to help you more. Good luck. And thanks dude.
