New Grower Wasting time

I run 3.5 watts into 7 gallons and have no issues. You might be overthinking everything a bit to much imho. That’s 3.5 watts and my reservoir temps were 82 f with room temperature 90-100 for a few weeks in my blue Dream plants. They foxtailed because of the heat but very healthy otherwise.

You need to find your Zen and relax or you might kill your next grow with to much love. Try having one plant that you absolutely do not touch or manipulate or change it’s overall environment regardless of what you think you should do. Then have the rest that you want to love and see what happens.

Neurosis can be the biggest killer of plants with new growers

I understand that runnin bennies will allow for higher temps, and that even these will benefit f/ better O2 levels. And the things I did wrong w/ the 1st grow were all validly wrong. Alas, I killed my 1st grow w/ ignorance...not sure too much love is a thing, but I've gotten better w/ leavin them be, to be sure, but only w/ the confidence that they're better tucked in. Neurosis isn't one of my things, but Zen Buddhism and Taoism are, and as a uni prof and former atty scholarship is just my approach or "way," pardon the pun. Won't disturb you further, but base deserved a better answer f/ me once I had it. Peace.

This is another one of those really really good posts!
I am a student of your methods lol, and its paying off with my 1st hydro attempt.
I would second that its really easy to overthink this.
I have multiple plants going and one of the best things about that is what you mentioned. I can have a plant just growing to watch and learn from, while also having something to get all handsy with!
I dont have the link handy, but i really recommend to any of the other peeps in this thread, to check out Frenjamins journal for his forgotten cookies.
Its been super handy!

@LaoWhoo
Your not disturbing me. I’m just observing. No one called you neurotic, just trying to politely say find your Zen. Most new growers obsess over minutia and the sooner we can stop doing that the sooner it becomes an enjoyable experience. I’m not the guy who tippy toes around trying not to hurt feelings. So if blunt assumptions will affect you negatively then give this old SOB a wide berth. I walk around with my foot in my mouth most days.

@baked in the bluegrass
You crack me up with the thought that anyone should do anything I do. Thanks

I really just throw my methods out there as the anti establishment way of growing and do so that those that think they have to walk some fine line or their plants will die can just relax. My way probably falls short of maximum potential but it works well for me.

I think DWC for so long had so many factors that made it tough that it still remains a scary subject for some. The biggest advance in DWC is the LED. Now temps can be much lower than they ever were which makes it easy for us indoor fools.

One thing to remember with indoor DWC. Plants love CO2 but it kills roots. Never run DWC with your air pumps in the same room if running CO2

More than an any one specific thing, i think its the approach thats what im digging.
Im still lookin for a way that works for me, consistently.
Im not yet worried about maximizing anything, more worried about getting to the finish line. Tho it is nice to get there and have apparently done a good job while doing it.

Hey bud shoot us a message on the website and well shoot you some replacement beans!

No it was my fault, thank you though. I cooked them in my Germination mat. Good news is I decided not to run some other plants and will be running the Skunk [HASHTAG]#5[/HASHTAG] after my current run. 3 months. I’m already saving up and plan on getting a full stash of your gear before The holidays.

Thank you very much for the offer. You’ll be hearing from me soon enough.

Still working on getting better pictures but here are the Ripleys just bulking up and looking spectacular. I could not be happier with how these are growing. They were freebies I think but I just ordered more. Along with Strawberry nuggets and four others. Gonna have Mephisto in the lineup for awhile.

And of course the ugliest Six shooter on the planet. But they are growing on me. Firm but not super frosty. Still pushing but I have stopped feeding.

And these girls are going to go into the photo room on Monday. Two of the plants in there are coming down. Big sloppy mess they are but should be lots of material to play with for our extraneous adventures.

No updates on feed for the Megabuds Beast mode autos because they haven’t hit the water yet. But we’re very close to.

Thanks for chilling on our little nature walk AFN. Lots of stuff to do today but hopefully some pictures of the Photo Periods soon.
