Just a quick question folks as I am a complete novice with LED's, should I flower on Full Spectrum with my V600 i.e. Veg & Bloom or just Bloom on its own?
I have years of experience using MH/HPS & CFL's but 0 experience with LED's and I need to flower my Big Bang grow today which has been "vegging" for 5 weeks today as it is now 24" tall so needs flowering, now that it has been LST'd to how I want it and is ready to go. But I'm not sure which is the best way to proceed with it into flowering, on the veg cycle it has performed amazingly and I couldn't be happier, any advice would be very much appreciated...

I am not an LED guy, but I know some things about stuff lol. I think you would want to use both and I am pretty sure you are supposed to in flower. I will find a vspec user and confirm but I am about 95% sure it’s both

I have not grown regular plants yet. :) I just run 20-24 hours on my autoflowers with all on(i had the v300 so no options, but I would imagine you just swap the light schedule to 12 when you want to make them jump to flower. On the full or not full spectrum part I know a friend who use both switched on, thing is the plants is not done growing when you switch to flower. I forgot all the technical data but also I imagine the par will suffer greatly overall, yes i understand "red" is most important for flower 39:40 optimal spectrum I have had stretching to tall plants often so the blue might be to much , who knows lol i had good yields anyway

Tbh, i dont understand much either at all. xD
Know a guy who understands alot and even though as the old professor says about cutting blue will stop alot of stretching i got often with all on my vipar, it also do stunt the stem growth / highway of nutrients for buds and that overall is really not perfect, pretty annoying i cant remember all the why´s because that is "kinda" important. xD

Hey there y'all.
You guys got quite a discussion going on about light on this thread. :smokeout:

Dr Bruce bugbee of Utah State University and. The CEO of Apogee Industries (a light sensing Photon meter development company )and also has been funded by NASA for 33 years. Also he been doing plant biology / science for 43 years.

You need to watch the whole series of videos over and over again if you didn't get it the first time....:headbang:

The man is a complete genius :worship:and he's also working with one of the few colleges in the United States that"s license to study cannabis and hemp.

He's not alone. As he has hundreds of other scientists and grads & undergrads that are researching the cannabis plant right now. In real time.
Their combined research is the most latest and technologically sound research there is in this field of cannabis and hemp. :ladies:

The need to know before you grow.

One needs to understand how to grow the cannabis plant. if you're going to grow a great plant or plant's. Anybody can grow this plant but you need to study to grow it greatly. :muahaha:

I've been growing a long while. And I've been studying Dr Bruce bugbee for about a year now. And his research is revolutionized the hemp and marijuana growing industry. With his research to light and the photons that the plant actually uses is phenomenal. I can't tell you all enough the study this man and his work he's changed the thinking of PAR and what's the cannabis plant uses in the light spectrum and how to manipulate it.. And if you study hard enough you'll figure it out.

I'm a do-it-yourselfer. And I use a 315 CMH light with the far red LED strips as I built my own hybrid lights to make my plants stretch or elongate and flourish with much more vigorous growth. By adding the far red Spectrum to my lighting has increased my yields substantially and the quality of my cannabis. As I only grow AAA cannabis. Along with training techniques such as LST/EST super cropping topping manifolding..

AND I do it all organically.

This is some of my work this year some of last year some of the year before that some for the year before that.
I grow inside and outside. And I use artificial light outside as well to enhance my Springtime in Fall time outside grow season.

It looks like @Varkhond has had some very good success with his. maybe he can chime in for us.
@Varkhond yea watched that dude, just went straight over my head mate lol...

I love seein folks doin outdoor spaces with artificial light. This is my hybrid space 12x24’ and I had two 1000w de HPS and two LEC 630’s goin all night and natural Colorado sun during the day. I pulled 11+ lbs in under 70 Days in 84.5 sq ft and it was all fire ad(mostly cause it was all Mephisto lol) I was able to get right at 350 g’s per m2 357 actually lol. I am doing a smaller version now at only 8x12’ to see if I can replicate those results, as I plan to start making an all in one hybrid space that is literally all included and virtually fool proof. This is the bug space when it was rockin. I am goin to watch these videos for sure as I live the sciency things.
