New Grower VI: Brother Mendel's Selections - Midwest Widow

Finally home and able to give my seeds a soak before hitting the dirt! Will go in Biobizz light mix and will use AN Sensi Grow and Bloom when feeding starts. Woohoo!

Double update: Currently on Feed/Feed/Water, trying a bit higher ppm and frequency. Maybe avoid the usual low leaf yellowing I've been getting.

Day 18: Second feed/watering
1L distilled water
+50ppm Protekt
+250ppm Foliage Pro:
296ppm @8.6pH
pH down - 6.3

+50ppm Protekt
+60ppm MagPro
+250ppm FoliagePro

Day 29: Start of week 5

Lots of growth over the last week. This plant is bushy! Tons of small branches through the middle and long ones reaching for the light. Topped on week 4 which I know is a little late. Now added sticks around the outside of the airpot and applied some ribbons to guide the longer inner branches out. The center looks to be developing 4 nice tops.

The last nine day have been:
D21 feed, D22 nothing, D23 nothing,
D24 feed, D25 nothing, D26 nothing,
D27 water, D28 nothing, D29 nothing.

Current feed strength:
1L distilled water
+50ppm Protekt
+60ppm MagPro
+300ppm FoliagePro
PPM target 400-410
pH target 6.3

Feed strength/schedule seems to be working well as I usually develop yellowing of the lower leaves.

Water only days: bio stimulants with minimal N/P/K
1L distilled water
10ml BioAG Ful-Power
1/16 tsp BioAg VAM
1/16 tsp Ful-Humix
1/8 tsp RAW kelp powder
adjusted to pH 6.3-6.5ish

Pics:

Something I really like about the airpots is that you can fit these nice slim bamboo stakes in between the air holes perfectly. A couple zip ties to hold them in and you get some nice supports to pull the branches towards. This is a 3.5gal pot so the branches needed to be long enough to reach the sides or at least reasonably attach a bit of ribbon.

Day 34 : End of week 5 tomorrow. Finally starting to get a bit of stretch! Taking a litre of water every other day now.

This past weeks schedule:
D30: Feed 1L
D31: Nothing
D32: Water with kelp/humic etc. 1L
D33: Nothing
D34 : Feed 1L

Current feed:
+50ppm Protekt silica
+120ppm MagPro
+270ppm FoliagePro
Total: ~450ppm
pH at 6.3

Current environment: 78F and 67%rh, 0.89-0.9kPa
Humidity should be continuing down over the next few days and make the transition to bloom nutes shortly. Start mixing them in and reducing the foliage pro.

Something strange happening on a couple of the leaves in the center.

No idea what is causing this appearance. I checked all the usual sites and looked through disease, fungus, mildew, and pest images. Nothing really seemed to line up. I'll keep a close eye on it and see if it progresses or not.

I have the same coloration n marks just stated around day 28. I think it's due to me not watering sooner than when I did or not topdressing sooner. Bit I'm not worried about it tho, she's growing fast too

Day 39 : Only 5 days since last update and quite a bit of nice growth! The gray spots turned into brown rust spots. They didn't really spread and I got a slight yellowing in the uppers. Very similar to nizmokush and I mentioned it in the main grow n show thread as well. It seems that whatever it was, has passed.

Current schedule:

D35: Nothing
D36: Feed 1L (450ppm)
D37: Water 1L(biostims)
D38: Nothing still wet
D39: Feed (470ppm)
Reduced the "Grow" nutes by 50ppm and added in 50ppm of "Bloom" to start making the transition

Current feed: (approx ppm targets)
+50ppm Protekt silica
+120ppm MagPro
+250ppm FoliagePro
+50ppm Bloom
Total: ~470ppm
pH at 6.3

Environment : 77F and 62%RH 1.02kPa based on vpdchart.com Solidly in the green of late veg/early flower

Overhead - You can sort of see the rust spots all developed at about the same time but stopped... not sure.

Day 43: Start of week 7 - Brown spots did not spread! Still looking light yellow overall but moving into flowering ok. This is my last grow with the BioBizz LightMix. All of my grows have looked like this at some point and thats been across a variety of strains and nutrients. Ah well.

I added a small bump of calmag to the RO water and the brown spots did not spread. 50ppm to the feed day and a +75ppm once on a water only day.

Last few days:

D40: nothing added
D41: Water - 1L +75ppm cal mag, 1/8tsp kelp, 1/8tsp BioAg TM-7, 5ml BioAg FulPower, pH 6.5
D42: Fed - 800ml water: +50ppm CalMag +50ppm protekt increased MagPro to +120ppm and +220FolPro +60Bloom = ~500ppm total @6.4pH
D:43 nothing added

Day 53 : Middle of week 8. Not looking terrible but not great overall either. Still plugging along and will probably have a decent amount by the end. Decreasing the grow and increasing the bloom nute blend. Started using the UV light supplement this week as well. 15 minute increments spread out once an hour over 4 hours so a total of 1hour on time.
