We have liftoff! 2 day update.
The seed got a 20hr presoak in a shotglass of plain water and placed on my router to stay warm. Then into the Jiffy pellet at around noon this past Saturday. I had a sprout by yeseterday evening. I did not see anything in the AM when I checked but by the evening it was full on exploded!
I would say after the 20hr presoak it took between 72-80 hours to fully germinate.
I'm calling Tuesday 10/5 Day 1
Day 1 : 10/5
Sprout! And check out the length on that taproot. Whoa!
3.5 gal airpot. I like to line the bottom with unfolded, unbleached coffee filters. Helps keep the soil from spilling out. This got loaded with Biobizz Light Mix soil.
Day 2 : 10/6 Seedling is in the tent.
Soil was presoaked with ~3L of distilled water.
I mixed a gallon with:
5ml of General Organics BioRoot
20ml of BioAg Ful-Power
1/8tsp BioAg Vam
pH adjusted to 6.4 and 90ppm final numbers.
Trying a new myco product from BioAg called VAM. Instructions called for 1/4tsp per gallon for seedlings but I read mixed reviews on blending into water and applying dry to the root zone and watering in. I split the VAM 1/8tsp into the gallon of water and 1/8 tsp dry under the pellet when transplanted.
Environment is currently 78.7F and 74%RH which according to
https://vpdchart.com puts things at 0.68kPa, seedling stage should be 0.4-0.8 so looking good I think.
Thanks to
@tronN00dles for the website link! I had been trying charts and other sites but this one is pretty easy to understand.
