I have (2) 4x4 tents, each with their own infinity T6 fan/filter, currently venting to the basement room that they’re in. As temps begin to climb (as well as increasing light intensities), it appears that I will need to vent them outside, even with my newly-installed window AC unit. Logistically, I would have to go over/behind the tent (#1) closest to the window to feed the vent of the second one. Could I run ducting from tent 2 into tent 1, then ducting from tent 1 to the outside? I would keep both infinity fans running (and I would think remove the filter from tent 1? Also, I’d guess I’d set the fan setting at double the strength in the tent pushing out the final air?). If I did this, I would think I’d want to have the hot air from tent 2 be ducted to the upper part of tent 1 so the plants in tent 1 aren’t getting hit with the warm air from the other tent. Anyone have thoughts/suggestions? I will be making my own diy window insert, so having two vent holes wouldn’t be an issue, it would just be longer ducting from the further tent.

I have ran through separate tents with the same ventilation. It's doable but presents some extra issues for me the way I worked around it and solved my issue was because I do perpetual so the warmer tent with a bit more humidity became where the younger plants went and where the colder air was my flowering finishing area. Dont know if that helps in any way or not. If you have them both dialed in already though it's likely worth the ducting to not complicate things anymore then needed.

That is a really smart setup! At the moment, mine are both full of same-aged plants, so I’ll just run the ducting. I figured it was worth asking, but I’ve already learned that if something seems to be the “easier” option with growing, it will usually end up frustrating the hell out of you down the road. I don’t fight when there is a “right” answer (Wish I’d learned that lesson earlier in my limited experience. Ha).

I have 3 filters in my basement, 2 are vented outside. They're not in tents 1 is outside my tent in laundry room, the other is in the the gameroom where I toke. I run the 2 into a "y" duct then I vent the single duct outside. Not sure if it's just the heat in your house you want out, but as you sit that would be you easiest option other than not doing anything lol. I planned on multiple tents eventually which I was going to daisy chain the ducting as well. Good to find out it isnt the best option before I put into action. Good luck and stay lifted.

I don't know if there is a right answer in general terms but one for what will work best for each of us for sure. I have been thinking bout getting infinity fans for mine would take less monitoring then what u have to do currently. Would you say they are worth the money...... Seems like a fair few people are using them, what are your thoughts on them?

I did the in series thing with my last grow, and it worked fine. However, I was ducting a 2x2 into a 2x4, and not all air into the 2x4 came from the smaller tent. The big "tent" (plywood DIY) is not completely air tight, so the air through the larger grow space was a mix of air from the smaller tent and the incoming leakage.

Anyway, if I were you, I would run the ducting to keep the two 4x4's separate. Keeping control of conditions independent would potentially avoid headaches.

Good luck with it. :pighug:

Yup! Separate is best. It keeps the airflow simple. Even being the same fan, fan speed, piping, filter, tent and tent inlet openings, the tent with the longer run will have less flow due to greater losses. To not have much impact on air flow of either, the point of joining the piping outside the tent would have to be more than twice the diameter of the feeding piping.

I have one fan venting two tents right now. It's an AC Infinity 4" and I have it in one tent with a splitter and a vent tube running to the second tent. I put the filter on the outside, one filter at the end of the exhaust pipe. It's ok. It works but not ideal. At one or two notches below top speed the tents stay at about 25C, so that's ok. But more so I struggle keeping the humidity where I want it cause in one tent it's fine where the other tent I should dial back the vent a bit to raise humidity. But I didn't want to spend more money at the time when I bought the second tent as the wife was giving me the eyeballs already so I made it work. I would definitely upgrade to two fans in the future. Bottom line, you can do it if you fan is strong enough and you having an AC Infinity 6" should be fine. But you can't adjust environment separately like you might want to. So to me it's more of a get by like this until you get another fan.
