I have a mate in USA who runs 24/0 on all his auto's dude(single bulb tho.)and he has the most regular success mainlining automatics I have ever seen.....that's what led me to this decision about 24/0.....I had the idea that maybe the plants are more receptive to the 24hr light schedule when mainlined, as they have more to do than in a normal grow........?Always nice to have some extra material at hand right
24h light per day is a long time (without rest), so make sure you don't overkill it photon/ppfd (DLI) wise during the different stages of growth.
For the rest I say let's get it on, full blaze!
Top notch stuff from a top notch breeder/dude ....I have a couple of buuuuud shots from that......err....... you(?) Blue SOS hahaha, just trimming a couple up for smokies.....N-N-N-N-Nooice....Lol sos got you thinking hard mate. Lol
I hope you enjoy it .
Nope, the only thing I can say is it works for some varieties better than for others.I have a mate in USA who runs 24/0 on all his auto's dude(single bulb tho.)and he has the most regular success mainlining automatics I have ever seen.....that's what led me to this decision about 24/0.....I had the idea that maybe the plants are more receptive to the 24hr light schedule when mainlined, as they have more to do than in a normal grow........?
I know that just bcoz it works for him, doesn't necessarily mean it will for me!!......I am gonna give it a go tho....do you know of any evidence that shows that automatics absolutely, definitely need a dark/rest period??

That's one of the reason we always recommend a 20/4 schedule, just to take away the possibility of inducing more stress than is needed. And especially for first timers or beginners this is very important. Because growing on a 24/0 schedule takes a different approach in both the use of lighting as well as nutrients.
But as you say about your friend, if you can figure it out, it will be amazing, the simple general rule in growing is light = weight, so the more light the ladies receive the bigger they become and the bigger the yield will be. Simple as that, supply her with enough nutrients and you can go full blast!!
Good luck mate
Plants in general benefit for a night time/rest period auto or photo. I don’t have a ton of experience but I have noticed a difference in terps after I got away from 24/0
Here is some science to help explain it
