Vaiperspectra 900w light distance n other questions

i used to use a 600 w viperspectra and a 900w kingbo i would stick around 35 inch see how they respond if they get leggy only then lower the light as your just trying to keep them cosy at the min

any idea what to do with this sprout? it had shell stick on it, i removed it carefully and gently, but this is how it is now, don't know what's the brown color is, burned or the protective layer, it's pretty much shut still and don't want to touch it, till i know what it is.

ah great to know, saw the brown color thought that's it the shell killed it, should i mist from time to time? the other one seems healthy and standing strong.
