I have an Og kush auto at day 56. For some reason, every time I go to check on it, it has at least a couple water drops on it. At first I suspected this was due to my humidity being 60 in accordance with VPD. I dropped the humidity, and 2 days later nothing had changed. Next I put a fan lightly blowing on the canopy of the plant, and increased the airflow. Yet to no avail. I'm Kind of stuck with what to do, furthermore wondering if I should worry. The plant is in week one of flower now. Is this a mold risk?? I don't know what else I could do to stop water from being on the plant like that. I even did a good heavy defoliation the other day because the canopy was so thick and still nothing. Any suggestions? Do I need to worry about it? I read that it might be sweating, but the article said plants usually only sweat when humidity is too high I guess.

Wet leaves can be a mold risk. Fresh air, constant air movement. Temperatures 68°F night and 78°F days with the RH between 40% and 60% is the best environment for normal growth. I have never had a plant do what you are describing but I have heard others with this issue.

Edit: Check your hygrometer and make sure it is telling you the truth!

Thank you for the advice! It seems as of now the only thing I can do is increase my temp a bit. I was sitting at 72F and following VPD in accordance with that temp. As far as air circulation and air movement I think I am ok. I have a couple of Honeywell fans inside my tent pushing around air, as well as an 4 inch intake fan giving air to the tent and a 6inch outtake fan taking all of the air out. I have been using an inkbird humidity controller and my ac infinity fan both read the same humidity, so I would probably mark that off as well. I'm interested to see if I can find the cause. This is my biggest and best trained plant to date so I am really trying to make sure nothing bad happens to it.

Sounds odd to me, but if two thermo hygrometers tell you the same thing, RH may be not that different than the readings say. The only detail there is that the sensors need to be intimate with if not inside your canopy. Conditions even with fans can vary inside the grow space. Also, in order to be certain about VPD, you need to know the temperature of your leaves to make sure you are using the right leaf/air temperature difference. I assume that fans stay on during lights off, but if they don't that could be another issue. They definitely need to stay on.

If the droplets you are seeing are on serration tips, that is almost certainly guttation, and it would not occur unless RH was too high relative to other environmental factors. Excess fertigation/irrigation can contribute to this as well. Bottom line, IMO, is that if you have guttation, RH in your canopy is too high for flowering. If you can post detailed pics of the droplets you are concerned with, that could help.

Good luck with it. :pighug:

I can say that from what I can tell, it is not guttation. I had guttation on my first ever plant, and it was sappy and almost amberlike in color. This looks like water, smells like water, and tastes like water. I should also mention that this water has never been on more than 5 leaves in a day, and also it is never on more than one leaf in close proximity.

probably way out there with this one but did you check to makes sure there isn't condensation dripping from the top of the tent or anywhere above? The only time I have seen this on my plants is when I am tucking/defoliating and the leaves are overlapping.

That's definitely a solid idea. I actually did check, and just to make sure I didn't miss anything I moved this plant to my second tent for 2 days. The same issue was STILL occuring.

That is not guttation. I don't know what it is, but if not drips from condensation, maybe some sort of weird infection. If it is always the same leaf, I would chop it.

Gorgeous plant though, she looks great! Good luck with the rest of the grow, I think you are going to be busy in trim jail for a while. :pighug:

Thank you for the compliment!! Yes I'm thinking it may be an infection or something but not sure what. The reason is, it's not on the same leaf. I actually have been removing leaves as I see water on them (only 3-5 leaves a day). I'm really curious though as I've seen this on the internet several times while looking for answers, but nobody seems to know what EXACTLY causes it. It seems to happen with plants that are more Indica like in structure from what I can see online. A commenter below said probably transpiration but I don't see why transpiration would condense unless my VPD got way out of whack, which it has been a perfect VPD pretty much throughout.
