So I thought of making my own "poor man's" California Lightworks by adding some UVB
light to my double shot of GN Ms0006 ...

Found this video, which has a great explanation on light spectrum and UV rays

And this youtube comment THC synthesis and UVB influence...

and here are some products by them

Cali Lightworks use 30w UVB-T8 CFL's (the 400w model) at full daytime hours on flowring...
Many people suggest maximum of 10 minutes ever 3 hours...
Others 1 hour full blast per day...

What is your thought on the subject?

A sunburned plant's leaves will shrivel just like a light burn. The more distant leaves will not burn. You won't see this though because these lamps are designed for reptiles to bask under for hours. At 30 cm these things have the same UV index as you see stated on weather channels for a northern summers day. You won't go blind if you glance at the bulb while watering your plants. It is less bright than the sun in every spectrum and you have glanced at that many times. Given that I run my 2x26w rep glo 10 for 20 hours with my main light, I doubt that your 10 minutes flashes will do much to the plant.

What I've been finding is to ease it in the last four weeks of flower. Up to 6 hours a days. I figure a lizard can handle all day of it close up. I think I'll start low and far away. My 10% cfl uvb was on an hour and a half 3 days ago and no one got hurt. supposed to turn it off when you're in there to protect your eyes and skin from heavy exposure

Lights can't touch what the sun puts out and I've never seen a plant throw on sunblock outside, just saying.

We need time lapse photography with a macro lens focused on an area of the plant to which we've added supplemental uvb lighting in controlled and measured amounts... then sit back and throw it on the silver screen and watch what happens vs a clone under identical circumstances, save the ultraviolet assualt.

Then we can kill this bloody horse and get to beating it.

I'm going to place my uvb clamplight in one spot when I start and point it at just a couple girls starting in two weeks. See what happens. I don't have anything macro

I just saw a 200x usb microscope for 25 bucks on ebay. Ships from china, but who cares.

Lol you should give it one of those cones the vet gives my dog so he doesn't lick his balls or whatever... just to segregate it.

I have looked at those before and ordered a lot of stuff from china as well.

My wife got me one of those so I would quit licking my sack. No actually it has the cone hood on the clamp light so I will
