Sour D update#2
Haven't been able to check in daily but things have been moving fast
6/17 they went into root riots with heads nestled above ground
6/18 woke up to them literally popped from the ground about an inch. These rubbery root riots had pushed roots almost out of the cubes. I tucked em back inside and pressed some more dirt in the hole to hold em
6/ 19 there was about 3/4 " stem on them
6/20 roots coming through the cubes. Planted them in their forever home

Now that they are in place, I'll get some more barley straw down. Green stuff are leaves from citronella plant. Lower right is an avocado bomb for the worms. I'll use a black trash bag to cover the center area. It'll keep that space damp while letting top soil around the plant to be drier. Last time I did it it seemed to help keep the gnats et al away These are in a 27 gal home depot tote turned SIP

I definitely need to step up my game. Day 20. These poor gals were somewhat neglected, shoved into a shady area in the greenhouse. The lack of good sun shows. I fired up a Scynce LED Raging Kale directly over them so that should kick things into high gear. A little embarrassed about the lack of growth in the last week but we'll turn things around quickly. Unfortunately, the greenhouse is packed full and there isn't any room in any sun drenched prime real estate.
