twenty20 Twenty20 Mendocino Ogreberry F4 Grow&Show

Ogreberry 2B Sour Grape - Day 31. She's starting to fill out the 7 gallon pot now and get vertical.

Florflex nutes. DIY Coco. Occasional silica. Dash of epsom if necessary. Fed till runoff once a day around lights on time.

Temps maxing out at 82F. Trying to keep RH inline as best I can with temps. Sitting at about 63 RH right now. It's getting HOT AF here so 82F I will take.

PPFD is around 600 right now. 18/6 schedule.

Observations:

1: Lighter feeder. Anything over 80% nutrient strength and she will show some tip burn. I will try to push that as she stretches to see how she does.

2: Topped at day 17 at the 6th node. She remained a little clumpy. Needed to do some early LST to separate her branches. I try not to do much early LST these days unless a plant is telling me it's absolutely necessary. Which she did. But now she's showing good structure and is ready to go.

3: Had some early brown spotting a couple weeks ago on younger leaves. Little epsom here and there and I haven't seen any spots on new growth.

4: Leaves appear to be super tender on her. Doesn't really enjoy being handled/ tucked/ etc.

5: Overall looking good so far. She'll go longer due to the 7 gallon pot. But I'm liking what I'm seeing so far.

Hey All! We've had a few reports of herms from the F4 batch winner's circle. Although we did our best to eliminate that trait In the previous generation it still seems to be surfacing on the f4s. There seems to be a correlation with heavy defoliating and topping based on anecdotal evidence. I want to stress that the trait doesn't seem to be very dominant and in nearly all situations, manually removing the sacs has resolved the issue. Obviously this isn't ideal but it seems to be an effective way to salvage the plant without destroying it. Please keep me posted on your observations and experience as the data is quite important to our team. I'm really excited to see the upcoming progression as many of your plants are coming along quite nicely!
Cheers

It's too early for me to know if I'm going to get any herms, at day 22:

They're growing slowly because of a bad decision I made sourcing soil. But I'm waiting on a shipment of Buildasoil and will be up potting them as soon as it arrives.

My 5 2B girls are at 6 weeks and 7.5 weeks. One was topped and recovered really fast. Others bent over. One of the 7.5 week girls is outdoor as of 2 weeks ago. No hermies and they smell amazing. Also seem to be very similar in growth and smell.

Nice, that's awesome you're doing an outdoor indoor side by side!
