Hello all I have attempted to make my first auto feminized seeds for a first.
I have been growing indoor for a few years and am happy with the results from my grows.
I started breeding seeds a few years ago and was only breeding regular auto seeds and have had great success with that , but I am tired of the amount boys I was getting so I attempted feminized seeds for a first time using colloidal silver. The seeds turned out looking nice and big with tiger stripes , I took 30 of the feminized seeds I made and germinated them and all of them germinated and all 30 seeds are female.

When I was making the seeds I firstly took 2 females that had just started showing there pistols and I sprayed the entire plant twice a day untill I saw pollen sacks develop and within a week the whole plant reverted into a male , I then used that pollen on my other females in the room to pollen are and a whole bunch of seeds where made.

My problem is they are on week 4 now and they are big and healthy plants but there are no trichomes around the forming buds or a smell it normally gives off. I am busy growing a genetic called orange crack which I have grown for a few years now and I know at what time the trichomes come and the smell . Is there anyone out there that has made feminized seeds for autos and knows if I have made a mistake?.

Even though you have grown these before if there was any double recesive traits they could show how far where the original u used to make the fems? F2 F3 ? Also when feming seeds I've seen some odd things occur also did u use one plant to pollinate the other or did u self pollinate each? The more info u can provide the better. I've been doing fem crosses both auto and photo for 4yrs and I've been breeding auto regs out of curiosity wat was ur male to female ratio do u mind telling me ur process I get about a 70% fem rate but it's mostly bc I can spend the time on them I would like/need aswell as my stuff is almost dead quite 32db or less bc I can't have people notice so if ur less limited I can give u some pointers on getting a better female to male ratio as for ur fems how many do u have going and this is the first time right?

I never thought of that as a problem , the plants I used to make fems was only a F2.
I didn't self pollinate I bred them with other female plants I had of same f2 genetics.
I used 2 females to turn into males with colodial silver. I completely changed the females into males by spraying the whole plant with colodial silver twice a day and they lost all there pistols and turned 100 percent into a male , is that bad?. I read people are spraying only when the buds are developing an the pollen sacks grow on the bud an they only spray one branch , is this a better method?.
My regular seeds I made I just let a male grow in my tent and breed and the offspring where nice but I had a 50-60 percent female rate but high trichomes and stinky.
My grow room is very quite , I grow in tents and my intake sits a distance away so not much noise from that , I use cree cobs as my light , so temps are normally around 24 degrees celcius .
This is my first test with these seeds I have 9 in one tent in 10 litre pots and a bunch in the garden.

When using fem pollen it's just a cross as ur stuck with wat u have genetics wise u did a good job and turning the whole plant is no biggie just lots of pollen most people don't need to much. To get a higher female to male ratio keep temps in the 80 to 85 range till sexing also not letting the medium dry out keeping it moist will help also aswell as using a bit higher k and not as nitro heavy these things aswell as others can vastly increase ur female ratios look it up as I don't remeber all the other things. I would wait till f3 before trying to really select anything, that's how all these places do it if doing it correctly anyway after f3 is where u start really locking in traits u can try to but it's not very adviseable also there may be a delayed trich production I have seen others have this occur they would pile on after the pompom phase. Remember u have made a new genetic lottery so you will have to be patient and attention to detail will be crucial take notes. If I can offer any help just lmk I love this kind of stuff and very much enjoy talking about and seeing this stuff great job so far and keep it up hope to follow along.

I really appreciate the advice Fitzy , I will do a few more regular breeds with this strain and also pick the best to breed with to lock in the best genetics.
I take constant notes on my plants and weekly pics so when I'm finished I will create a journal for everyone to see how it turned out.
If I come into any problems I will definitely ask you , you seem to have good experience and knowledge .
