Trouble shooting flow chart

I admit..
It is complex but thurough for most new growers.

:smoking: GC, interesting find,...but oooh, if it were really that simple! :nono: pfffff,.... I've seem similar things before and all have the same fault, especially for defc.'s/toxicity/nutritional diagnostics... The chart has it's good points, but as always, no pics means symptoms are left to peoples (ignorant) imaginations (no substitute for this IMO), and because so many defc. symptoms can look similar, appear on different levels of the plant (tell tale for diagnostics, and totally unaddressed in that chart) it will not be a reliable tool to reach valid conclusions on all the time,... Also, more often than not, more than one defc/toxicity. is in play (which muddies the diagnostic waters a lot at times), and the root cause does not get addressed well if at all, to say nothing of how to fix it... This chart may help point somebody the right direction, but there's a lot more to do beyond what the chart offers...
The more one tries to simplify such things, the more error gets built into that type of deal,... sweeping generalizations tend to mislead people more often than enlighten/help them!

Here is a beginner level version of your flow chart. Points you in the general direction, the rest is up to the grower to research further.

I much prefer Heavily Medicated's trouble shooting chart.
As Waira said, there is offen more than just one issue at hand.
We often tend to refer to def'c as being a nute related proble.
In my last grow I had two issues which needed attention.
Over watering in soil, because of soil compaction, and Calcium.
Flushing partialy fixed the issue, but the ultimate solution was to transplant into new soil and start feeding again.

And , I'm always very carefull to keep my PH around 6.4-6.5
So I can well imagine some of the issues associated with lock out that occur when PH is off.
That opens up a completely new conversation.

I know Machimillion is presently running some tests on a product called MANTIS.
Its suppose to be PH balanced for all growing mediums and complete with nutes.
No flushing required. I think he's running a drain to waste setup. But I'm not sure.

So for coco or regular hydro, the Matis should be promissing.
I'd like to see some issues crop up with this product, where the cause is not the nutes but rather the enviroment.

Cheers,

I am feeding with a auto flow pump set at 40 seconds every 12 hours atm. I mix 3 ltrs of mantis at a time and keep in res. I do water by hand when I feel they need it. My well water is 7.1 ph and after adding mantis it sits at 6.2.
No def'c yet to speak of. All looking healthy.
I am using it on a solo cup and a 2 ltr grow and a dinamed cbd kush in a 3 gal airpot.
