Hey guys so I'm now at the germination phase of my grow. Everything seems to be going well except for one issue, my relative humitidy.

The relative humitiy in my house, in general, is really low. Somewhere in the 22-30% range usually. So to thwart that I went out and bought a decent humidifier for my grow room.

The issue I'm having is once I turn the inline fan that's connected to my carbon filter on in my grow tent, it sucks up all the humidity within seconds! Literally it will drop from 70% to 30% within 10 mins of it being on (just as an example).

I've tried to leave the humidifier outside the room and turned on but it struggles to lower the humidity inside the tent and in the room. It can get the room to 40% RH but the actual tent RH% doesn't raise much at all.

Is there a way to retain a high RH% without me needing to purchase much else? Or am I just going to have to shell out tons for a serious humidifier? It's Spring time and I live in the North East so my RH will raise naturally soon so I'd rather not spend a bunch just to have no use for it until next winter.

Any help is appretiated. Thanks.

Hi I battle the same problem daily buckets of wet t shirts& humidifiers&iv come to the conclusion I need to spend more £'s.as my friend has got his sorted down to a t now but he has spent £200or so.hes got a 6inch inline fan&filter extracting the hot air&smell(air cooled hoods),&a4inch intake inline fan(lying just outside the tent)it has a long probe on it with a built in hygrometer&short bursts while the4inch probe fan&his2large humidifiers all kick inat same time&then runs the6inch fan at as low a speed as possible to keep temps&humidity within range ..It takes a few days to get your speeds set on the fans at optimum levels to keep temps&humidity in range&as the weather gets warmer he just adjusts the fan speeds4that day.he gets60 to70%RH in veg&has no probs keeping at 40% in bloom.his who'll ster

misting frequently as long as you have the means of dring with fan power, some wet towels around the whole tent managed a good 60#70

But I just can't afford anything else so I'm still using wet t shirts &buckets of water.lol&keeping my extraction as low as poss.also my carbon filter is right at the back top of tent so I have the humidifiers at the bottom front so all the moist air has to pass through the canopy anyway to get to the filter,it's a pain in the ass trying to get it right on but unless you got big bucks you just gotta get by anyway possible.lol.I'm still trying to figure out how to change all my timers with the clocks going forward tonight.lol.but I just look at it as an ever on going project &if you can buy something new after each crop it won't take long to get a cracking set up!!,, unfortunately 4me the UK police relieved me of all my equipment in2011&im still nowhere near like what I had equipment wise, but that's just life isn't it&you only get1go at it so screw em all&dnt let the bstards grind u down[emoji6]
