I moved three healthy seedlings up to the roof of the abandoned building on Friday night.
It was my last opportunity, and had to get it done.

Discovered that the soil was largely sand up there, when I dug in.
But had no chance to change location.
So, in they went.

Haven't checked since, and am in no hurry.
It's been hot, with a bit of rain.
Maybe they'll be fried, maybe survive.

It's up to nature.
Will try to check when I have the chance.
But... it's a tight location.

Safety first.

Did you put them in the ground directly or in pots? Most people that are not used to looking for canna will walk right past them if they are in the ground. It sounds like a great spot actually, at least it will be well drained and get the best of the sun. Best of luck!

construction site health and safety....i hope you have a hard hat ? :pass:
stay safe and good luck.
:pighug:

It's a crusty old place, with graffiti and stuff lying around.
But no signs of recent use.

Safety first.

Still haven't checked them.
They're either fried to a crisp already, or loving the sun and occasional rain.

The ground. A pile of sandy bird crap zone on the roof.

They'll just look like the weeds there.

With a sandy soil you may want to use a slow release fertilizer like Biotabs. You may also want to mulch with something to keep it moist when the rain stops. :goodluck:

Would be nice. Nothing so fancy in these parts, @Mañ'O'Green .

It's a tester site. Just see what happens.
Mainly to see what the sunlight and rain outdoors does to wild / guerilla plants.

I'm guessing they're maybe fried already.
Should get up there and look a bit... when it's clear.

This is the three just before they went out, just 8 days ago now:
