has anyone had good luck with this?

One of my three was semi successful....starting to bush out at day 21.... but the other two absolutely refused....

When I had enough stem on the top node the section below was totally stiff and seemed like it would snap if my fat fingers did anymore fucking around in there...

It resulted in like alternating vertical and horizontal sections so I gave up...

It’s fine, I have the vertical space anyways....

Typically Moby dick being sativa dominant should respond very well to both topping and training

Yes there is phenotype variances which would be down to the growers discretion and knowledge on if best left to grow natural or to train.

In general most strains respective of sativa of indica dominance will train. This is not the same when topping is concerned.

Could you share any pictures of your current progress?

All the best

Ya... I maybe I was doing something weird this time, I was still able to bush them out a bit,,, ha just super strong stems on these ladies (after this photo I spread out and tied down some of the longer branches— The long stem structure is great for letting light through )
Moby xxl in the middle and haze xxl (waited till day 21 to start training and it’s quite flexible)

When do you recommend switching to flower nutes for the Moby? Day 33 now and giving fish mix and Algamic every watering

Continue with the veg feed through the stretch phase mate. Close to the end of the stretch start alternating between veg & bloom nutes and still continue to give to occasional dose of a high nitrogen feed

Looks like you have been busy training and opening up that plant canopy for maximum light distribution

Lovely work mate and a nice outdoor update :pass:

All the best
