I did a bit more training today and had my first couple of mishaps doing it, but hey, that's the way you learn.. Right
One side leaf/stem snapped as I was gently pulling the branches down and out but I taped it up straight away, only a small one so hopefully it won't suffer to much.
Then I snapped a top off when trying to tie it down a little to hard, that piece went into the last spare pot I had from the beginning of this grow, if it makes some roots and lives well then great, if not then it was at least worth a try.

So in my experience cloning autos works but can be picky it's fun to try for sure and tbh the first set of branches get cut you can try with every plant and maybe adding some sillica so you can strengthen the stems ive also seen people use weights on branches just enuff to pull them a bit not bend over. The broke part looks good and healthy so I would say the plant it came from will brush that right off grab a humidity dome for that clone and spray it with water depending on ur nutes if using bottle nutes start a low 200ppm feed or less with grow bottle and if you have an aloe plant lmk I can give u a recipe that is good for roots in general.

When I start breeding autos I plan to take clones from my plants and grow the clones in dixie cups and reverse the clones instead of wasting a whole plant. Then collect the pollen from the clones and toss them once your done with them and use the pollen on selected female auto plants to create new fem strains.

You can reverse 1 branch of the plant by the way don't have to do the whole plant just a heads up and s1 crosses are fun and we'll worth trying out the only caution I would say is taking and selfing already seeded plants can cause mutations hermie plants aswell as other things so for example if you grow a gg4 self it grow the selfed seed and self again this is tricky it can be done and continued but you have to really know wat a stressed plant looks like ect or the chance of those problems arising are higher. Don't let that deter u though as its fun and you will have some awsome semi free seeds
