Parts are coming in so I'll start. My lighting needs are very modest, to be partnered with the Arctic Spring Sun in my window while I'm waiting for the greenhouse season to begin. 25w led grow light + sun grows a nice plant. I'm looking to double light and add reflectance and see what happens. I have an alternative energy system, 12v batteries. I don't have the full power of civilization at my fingertips when I flip the switch. So, this light will have no fat. I went over to Meanwell drivers and started the search. HLG-40H-36A will drive the citizen 12-12 chip between 20-46w. Most important for me is the .43 amp input, which is 4.3 amp draw from a 12v battery bank. This is a number I can live with. 150w inverter powers the driver. The 25w runs at 2.6 amp draw, basically 25w. I'm looking to get almost 2x the light for less than twice the juice. The top of the window grow is open so no trapped heat and I'll try no fan, see how it goes, got the fan driver if needed. Waiting for the Cobkits.com 12-12 light engine to arrive. Then build a frame to house driver and light, I have some 1- 1/2" x 1- 1/2" aluminum angle iron scraps to build with. Sun blasts in 6hrs, cob runs 18/6. Plenty of light to run solos around the main girl. When I get it up, I'll post up
