Totally confused.

This is why growing takes years to master, and I'm not even a novice yet

I don't have a ppm meter handy any more I'm afraid. Last time I checked the tap water ppm it was up around 790/800PPM. I remember it being very high with a pH of over 8.

I shall carry on feeding with just phd water for now and see if that helps. I might have used too much dry amendment. In which case I'm laying off all bottled nutes for the mean time.
Whooaa whoaaaa.. Your tap water alone was 800ppm? That's probably your issue. I wouldn't even drink water with that high of a ppm.. You'll want to find out why it's hat high.. Is it due to calcium or magnesium or chlorine or something else.. A local water report will give you that info.. But I would switch to distilled or RO water.

You are correct... Growing is a forever learning experience. Every plant, every grow is different.

Oh.. And please explain your "precharge" process.. How much did you use? What size is the pot etc..

Yeah so I found my ppm meter. Either it's dodgy or the cheap bottled water I buy is above 600 ppm, and tap is even higher. (I don't drink tap water here in Spain) i don't speak enough of the lingo to find out the info from the water people. I'll be leaving Spain in the near future so will reassess everything then.

I had a bottle of distilled water and that read 4ppm. So I mixed in a little bit of bottled water with a very very weak mix of root juice ph'd to 5.8. ppm ~300. Gave it a soak, waited fifteen minutes and then flushed through with said water. Hoping it might level things out a bit.

I used the Plagron Bio super mix. I followed instructions on the pack following the lower dose. I believe it was one cup powder for 10l substrate so I did under that. This was a few days before sowing directly to the soil as I knew it would take a while to break down and didn't want to burn the young plant.
