there is no way I can accommodate a 47 inch / 120 cm plant in my tent. Should I bother trying to run AvT if I have to top it? If topping is inadvisable, how often might I supercrop to reduce height before it becomes problematic?

My tent is 63 inches tall.

Don't deprive yourself! I can't wait to grow AVT. I'd try to control the size of the plant with potting it in a smaller pot.

can leds stunt height just by being lower? Ive been keeping my mars II 900 at around 12-18 inches away during flower pretty much all grow and my Triangle is 28 inches tall. How close are we talking? @KonopCh @Farmer Dee will smaller pots really take away height? I've seen some large autos in 3 gallon pots? Do you have any experience with two strains in different pots to compare (assuming same pheno)

I grew 6 AvT and curently germinating two more. Mine never gets 80 cm +. In 10L and 15L soil.

LST is crazy easy, and a great way to control height of plants. I don't have specific thread links handy, but there's a member here by the name of @autobeast that has a few fantastic threads on the subject, with plenty of pics to walk you through the process.

I'm not an expert by any means, but I'd avoid trying to control height simply with how high your light is. LEDS can get intense really quick, and plants don't always take the hint to stop growing towards them, anyway. So you might aim to control the height and end up with light burn...If you really want to control height with as little stress as possible, LST and pot size are likely gonna be your best bets, though like you, I've seen some decent plants in small pots, so...

Yeah.. I need to do homework on LST. Maybe I'll be like @KonopCh and get shorter dice roll plants, although I'm in 5g air pots
