Top 5 autoflowering strains on the market?

In my rad environment the ones that flourish without fail have been, blue dream(HSO), bubba cheese(Emerald Triangle), sweet skunk(sweet seeds), and new on the list moon tears(autoflower portal) and fairy frost(autoflower portal)

I'm like Archer, I have maybe 3-4 strains i grow semi-regularly (Always Blue Dragon...lol ) I like variety and seeing how different strains grow and look is half the fun of growing.

Same here...I make plants prove themselves. Once they do I continue to grow them until I either find something I like more. I am always trying out many strains every season looking for champion plants like DP BB and Think Fast

Hey man, thanks for reps! I hope all is going well with you and you are sitting back and relaxing with the fruits of this year's labour now...

One reason I won't be running the G13 auto Blueberry again is because next year I will be running several autos/photos that are blueberry crosses, plus I just think next year I am going to change things up for variation. Hardly any strains that I did this year will be done next year, just because I like to keep experimenting. There's something about trying and finding new strains that fascinates me... and what with so many strains now out there, and with with ever-increasing quality, potency, yield etc - I just can't see myself running the same stuff consistently year on year anymore, bar the odd few strains. But that's just me.

Autos will comprise the bulk of next year's work, about 75% roughly, as I prefer to dry outdoors and I find it very easy and effective to dry outdoors in boxes under a tarp during the summer, but not so much at all during autumn/fall when photoperiods would usually finish... hence why I'm going all out with autos. I'm going to get a bunch of them in the polytunnel and then have several other auto plots, each containing about 6-9 plants. I will be making a return to the cornfield as well for an auto only grow, across 2 different spots.

In regards to the growhouse humidity, yeah, that would potentially be an issue because of overnight dew from the huge temp swings between day and night. 30C days usually give way to 15C nights, still causing morning dew on everything, although this isn't always the case. And it also depends on the rainfall pattern. Last reason we had a drought from mid July through to mid September so it was very, very dry with above average temps and hardly any dew. Clocked temps as high as 36-37C several times in the shade as well during late July / early August, which would be problematic with a growhouse. The main reason for the polytunnel is to boost growth in the first 3-4 weeks, so I could easily remove the greenhouse/polytunnel cover in the last few weeks before harvest to increase airflow and prevent mould. Not to mention the July/August temps might be too high to leave on anyway. I'll just take off the cover come July and drape a sheet of chicken wire around the perimeter frame to keep animals off.

I am pretty much settled on the 5 autos I initially listed above, but I want to add another 2 to the list to bring it up to 7. I should make a poll to see haha!

Yep enjoying the fruits of labour for sure! Tremendous smoke this season!

I totally understand the need to want to try out different strains...I am the same way, unless I come across a strain that is very, very special.

I don't believe I have ever heard of someone planning their grow around their drying technique before!!

Make sure you have a hygrometer in your tunnel. It will help your gauge tolerance to average RH. This is my biggest challenge for outdoor autos here in cannada. Our midsummers are tremendous in humidity. Being so close to the great lakes, the hotter it gets the worst the humidity gets. Often 70% throughout midsummer is totally typical. Most folks from other parts of the world complain that it so humid here you cant do anything in the middle of summer, and they are pretty much right. It wont stop me from growing autos, and as a benefit for the whole world of auto growers I get to be the tester to find out how resilient strains are to mold. Even if I get 150 grams dry and have to throw away 50 its a grand success in my eyes!

I absolutely have to try a fairy frost this summer(and maybe Nashira based on size reports)...even in my less than perfect spot(already chosen strains for the prime spots). Ive decided I am going to maximize the numbers of outdoors based on how many I can do legally with my license(2 plants per daily gram prescribed). But sticking with my current number of photo plants, so any surplus numbers will be autos, so end harvest doesn't destroy me! Cant wait to acquire parts for an auto trimmer!

I previously ran the photo period version, not the fast, and it turned out quite well, had a good body effect and yeilded well. Haven't grown the auto version yet

Hello mate, I ran the Green Poison FV photo last year, although I wasn't overly blown away by it so not sure how much better a GP auto version would be. I think I am going to run their Red Poison auto though which is derived from the Green Poison and a Pakistani Kush. Sweet Trainwreck is also on the list along with Devil Cream, Cream Mandarine XL, Big Devil XL, Mohan Ram, Blow Mind and their Crystal Candy auto. They'll all go into one Sweet Seeds auto plot, except the Blow Mind which is probably going to be inside the growhouse/polytunnel.
