What does it mean to fim? Googled it and it says it’s removing the plant's new growth tip at the very end of the stem or branch where it meets the foliage and if that’s correct why would you do it? Thanks in advance, trying to soak up knowledge.

Fim stands for "fu#$ I missed". You chop the top off the plant in an abnormal way and this causes the plant to grow many tops. If you just top the plant normally,it usually only creates 2 tops.
