New Grower to veg or not to veg?

I'm on day 28 on my photo grow and I'm wondering when I should be thinking of flowering?

Hello mate, if your plants are photos then you can grow them as big as you like really, I let mine get about 2.5 ft including pot then flick them into flower....But if your growing autos read the article muddy has suggested.

Shoot, I missed that they are photos. Sorry, still not fully awake yet this morning. Photos are a different animal. Depending on the strain they will double or triple in size once they are switched to 12/12 lighting. Sativas will usually end up bigger than indicas. So consider how much vertical room you've got and switch the timing on your lights accordingly.

thanks very much for pointing me there. I've worked out my whole schedule now. The end seems so far away! Its also put me at rest over my Power Plant. I thought it was a bit slow, but actually seems to be doing quite well.

Yes... definitely agree with muddy, photos can very easily double in size between veg and flower.... I dont let mine get 2 big for that very reason.

Hi matt

If you are growing photos you can go 12/12 anytime you want mate, just think about how much room you have as they will double in size.
If you are growing autos then you don't need to switch the lights at all..stay at 18/6 or 20/4 or what ever light schedule your on mate.

Sweet. I think I'll aim for about 7 weeks. Looking at how they're doing now I reckon I'll get a 3ft plant at harvest, which is fine by me.
