1st time coco grower. Using Mother Earth Coco which has perlite mixed in. Any tips or advice for a first time coco grower? I just planted my first 2 seeds with coco in solo cups tonight. 2 Mephisto strains (Jammy Dodgers & Orange-utan) I've grown hydro and in soil so I know the basics. Ph 5.5 to 6.5 in coco so I'm thinking to aim for 6ph when I feed. Shud i water twice daily? I know it's impossible to overwater in coco so I'm excited about that and also excited for more hydro like growth without the air pumps n stones. Anything I'm missing? Or shud know? I'll be feeding with mega crop nutrients start to finish. Got a bluelab combo meter for accuracy when measuring ph and ppm. I use 0ppm RO Water. I'm thinking of grabbing some extra csl mag just in case. Feel free to help a brother out. Thanks. Journal for these 2 strains getting started now. Thanks for anyone who chimes in :headbang:

Also want to hear what people have to say, I plan on going Coco for my next grow

Coco is hydroponics but that does not mean it does not have a root biome - it does. The roots will exude substances that interact with the biome to produce elements the plant wants. It is best if you wait for your first fertigation of the day until 2 hours after lights on. This gives the plant time to uptake the nutrients the biome has produced. Coco performs best if fertigated several times a day to achieve about 15% to 20% run-off of the fertigation volume. I have seen successful grows fertigated less then that but IMPO if you do not want to fertigate more often just grow in soil. Flushing is part of hydro but be gentle when you flush. I recommend a nutrient flush when you do it.

I am working on a GreenLeaf MC 2 Part schedule for autos in hydro in my current grow. It is still experimental. I highly recommend getting a nutrient line designed for coco.

I just tried to find if that coco is washed and precharged and the only thing it says:

Mother Earth® Coco is pre-buffered and pH adjusted to promote strong root growth.

The Coco + perlite says nothing? Are we to assume that it is?

@Cultivators any coconuts out there want to chime into this conversation what do you guys do :pass: iv been using coco now for two years or so i feel im only starting to get the hang of it now but iv only started using it properly also still just winging it really

ive been using it since 2016 and i find i only ever have issues with autopot bottom-fed plants with top-fed like my airport i find as long as you always feed to run off its pretty easy to keep your plants happy but even though I've grown in coco in every size pot or container solo cups 2 litre bottles but try not to overfeed your plants but @Mañ'O'Green knows id say more than most of us regarding it

Sorry, i despise coco lol.
