A 250 watter would probably work in that size tent as long as it's air cooled or a cool tube type. A minimum of 50 watts per square foot are recommended for HPS lights. That tent is about 4 sq. ft, so you'll have about 62 watts per sq. ft., which should be enough to give you tight buds. I would recommend a good in-line exhaust fan hooked to the hood to remove the hot air quickly before it has a chance to build up in the tent. Later on if you do decide to purchase some LEDs you could use that 250 watter for veg. Start your plants under them and move them under the LED after they sex. That way you could turn over your plants under the LEDs about every 8 weeks, giving you faster harvests.

Cheers muddy, I appreciate the honesty and info.

The 400 is aircooled although i have seen today a euro hps 250 duel spec for £60 and as i had few unexpected money probs that's looking quite tasty my worry is years ago I did a grow with enviro lights and it was so light an fluffy with no great taste an I don't want to go there again lol

While it's true that all the LEDs are assembled in China, they are not all equal. Some, like the Blackstars, are built to given specifications, often dictated by the distributor. Others are just off the assembly line models using more or less generic specs. Be careful what you buy, cheap isn't always good when it comes to LEDs.

Check out alibaba for chineese led. and tell then What u want to pay try to send an offer to atleast 10 manufacturer. You could easily find a 120 Watter for 120-140 usd with shipping. Btw all led lights are made in China even the Blackstar. I.got 2 25x3w UFO for 120 usd about 80 pounds Form there included shipping.

Yeah you do have to be careful with what u buy off that site. Some are better.than IMO there are 2 things that u can rely on when picking blackstar over an unknown. You know what jind of results to expect from,a Blackstar and you dont have to deal with a foreign company when dealing with the warranty.
I just suggested a chineese because they are the lowest price which is a big factor in my book atleast at the current time, when I have more money I would definitely go with a local source just so I wobt have to deal with a chinamaan when or if I need to replace the light.
I recomend them if u are on a budget perhaps going with a smaller light for now and getting a sexond for later on.
I chose to go with the chineese one because I ordered one with a custom 6 band light i.had them take one led from each od the red band and add 2 to the blue that way I can use the light to veg some photos and flower some autos in between grows I have pland to move so im going to use the lights to grow some autos in my veg cab till I get my tent back up.
I also went with.the chepOS becauae I have.never used led.before I just hope the quality of those lights are.good.
Sorry for typos using my phone.
