Sorry, I looked for this but couldn't find it.
Quick question, and If I get the same answers, I'll delete my post:

I have used Canna-Fem for sex reversal. Seems to have worked perfectly, because I now have one branch with no hairs and growing tiny bananas.
My question is simple....
Now That I believe that branch has switched to male, how long before these so-called bananas have pollen in them, or are ready to give me pollen?
Right now they are very tiny, but I was just wondering how long it takes for those little sacs to have magic jizz in them....LOL

Thanks

This is where it is right now. Approx. 1 week since change

Looks like some of them are already open.

definitely no pollen is coming out
They don't appear to be open.

They are still developing, they are a bunch of sacs and the nanners will pop out once they open. Some might start opening in a week or two, then eventually you will have nanners falling all over and you can just turn the plant and shake it. Might be a few weeks until you start getting serious pollen. You might be able to collect some in a week or two also.

Those should start opening in days and continue for about a week if they are going to open like my regular auto males I've grown.
I usually get one or two flowers popping with pollen and then it speeds up and pollen will start falling for several days.

I reversed a recent plant with STS and didn't get any flowers that I could get anything from. Mine looked like bananas growing out of buds instead of actual flowers that opened, but the plant did self-pollinate and is loaded with seeds. Another plant of mine I used STS on failed to produce flowers and instead packed on buds and I'm still spraying it in an attempt to get it to self as I see a small flower developing. I have a male pollen donor that looks like what yours looks like right know that I will used probably next week to pollinate it before it is too late to get seeds from since I can't smoke the plant now after treating it. I really wanted feminized seeds but will settle for hybrid regular seeds.

I better get pollen.....LOL
I sacrificed my heaviest looking plant. This thing is a monster, and If I get no seeds, AND I can't harvest the weed either.... I'll be pissed.
Guess I'll wait and see. Not much else I can do.

I've got the same issue. Plant that I have no more seeds of a strain. Couldn't get any of the seeds to germinate until this last attempt. Then final two seeds both grew. Attempted to reverse one with STS and got no result until the buds started packing on. Yesterday, I saw one single banana pop out of a fully formed bud. Can't smoke the weed or make edibles from it.

Left me two choices. Pollinate with a regular male of unknown auto strain in order to keep at least half the genetics. Or, continue spraying with STS and also spray with colloidal silver at the same time. Spraying the STS about every four days and the CS twice a day on all other days until I get results or the plant drops dead.

So, I am currently soaking the plant with both STS and colloidal silver. I saw this recommended by a company that supplies STS and since I have both decided it was my best option since people here say both have a short shelf life once opened.

Other plant I reversed and is just a week or two older is already making seeds.

11 days after that picture and still no pollen. They really aren't opening up yet either. When you consider that some pics on the net actually look like they bloom.... mine are not doing that!....yet.....

I have a Skunk strain I sprayed continuously and got nothing but two little bananas after spraying repeatedly for a month. Didn't develop any flowers but just two little pollen pods that look like the pod inside a male flower when it will open up to release pollen. It may have pollinated one small bud. Otherwise, the plant just continued to form decent size colas but I see no seeds forming.

I did have a regular male I didn't cull so I waited until the flowers on it started to open and was able to collect about 1/2 a teaspoon of pollen so I used it to pollinate my Skunk I had sprayed with STS so the plant won't be a total waste since I won't smoke it.

I also used a small paintbrush to pollinate a Skunk plant I was not going to use to make seeds and a Fastbud Strawberry Pie I have that just entered flowering a week or so ago. I can live with non-feminized seeds for now and though the seeds I get will be hybrids instead of pure strains from the breeder, I can just breed them with pure strains later on to reduce the percentage of the strain I used to pollinate them with.

I'm leaning towards just making regular auto seeds from strains I like due to my own belief that those regular strains seem to be hardier than feminized seeds in my climate and location for outdoor grows. My temperatures dropped from the 80's down to 40's during daytime and high 30's at night this week. Regular seeds I have been growing outside have survived temperatures in the mid-20's this Spring, below freezing.
