Hey AFN, if I have a female TD, and turn it Hermie, can the hermie pollenate itself and produce viable seeds or do I need to harvest the pollen and pollenate a normal think different plant? Thanks again guys!

you can do either...but why would you want to? you will breed the hermie trait into the seeds and it will come out in the future to surprise you when you least expect it!

better off getting some regular (m/f) seeds and crossing a male to your TD :2cents:

you will almost always pass on the hermie trait , and especially so if the hermie is pollinating itself , if you want slightly better odds of not passing along the hermie trait then pollinate a seperate plant

but breeding with hermies is NOT something we advise or promote

if you are refering to reversing a female plant into a male that is completely different and has nothing to do with hermies , but imo it is better to pollinate a different (no pun intended) plant still

peace

Thank you. I just don't want to buy seeds if I could produce my own. I thought about breeding with another plant but wanted to keep the think different strain, but after reading your comment it made me realize breeding would be a lot more fun/ possibly rewarding

Sidenote: I fucking love this communityHop digity

I was thinking of using colloidal silver at the 2 week mark to make a female produce pollen. I was told this would result in auto fem seeds if used the pollen on a female TD

ohh then thats a good idea , but we need to get this moved to the fem breeding sub forum

Thanks everyone for the input! Hopefully one day I'll be answering auto flower questions lol. But until then I do really appreciate the community helping this noob out so much:hug:
