Yeah, I'm throwing everything I've got Light wise at em. I'm going to order a couple more of the 600 cool tube lights for future grows, but if I can get one before the end of this grow I'll definitely use it. Right now I've got a 600 cool tube, and two adjust a wing reflectors (400 watt HPS, and 250 MH) which put off a lot of heat, and limit how close I can get the lights to the plants. Either way, they've definitely got enough light, and a pretty good coverage with the 3 light spread.
I just hope it works out well. I've got all my stuff tied up on this grow right now, and I REALLY want to go perpetual asap. Next setup will be 4x8 tent with 4 2x4 flood drain tables. Total of 8 plants, two plants per table, and a 2 plant harvest every 3 weeks. That's the plan, and I'm sticking to it.
Had a bit of light stress after adding the extra 600 watts, so I raised the lights a bit and things are really filling in nicely. I can start to see how things will take shape now. I will still have a good deal of jogging things around and spreading the bigger buds out so they all get good light, but the net will most definitely be full. Each plant has it's own personality. They all look good, but definitely their own personality. I have one that's super Frosty already and a couple that are only showing the amount of trichomes I would expect to see. Either way, I plan on taking these plants to 90 days, so I'm almost halfway through with this grow. I Definitely want 30% amber trichomes this time around. Looking for that couchlock, put me to sleep body stone. Harvested my last stuff with about 50% clear 50% cloudy. Good clear headed high, but I want that devastating do nothing smoke, lol.
Here's some pics.
TD is 80% sati, so you will struggle on the amber % you are looking for. However, at 90day you will be not so much couch lock, more like pad locked to it !! if you like sativa, ave a look at DP tony's new OUTLAW........wow...........
Tdudes,......how deep is the soil res ?? 12inch ??........how many ltr of what is the grow media that went in?. Flood drain from bottom yea ??, are you aerating the nute res at all ??.........how many TD's went in Tdudes ?? they seem quite close to each other........AB very nice dudes......
The table is 7 inches deep, and the net pots are 10 wide, and 6 deep full of rock. The reservoir is 35 gallons with 2 large air stones. There are only 5 plants on that 4x4 table.
Peace!
Day 43.
I've stretched the ScrOG even more, and the entire table is even and full, All 5 plants are out of their pre-flower stretch and just starting to flower. Had I done more than 5 plants, it would have been too much. I've pretty much got everything where I want it now. I'm sure I'll have to move things here and there to keep everything right, but they have stopped vertical growth all together now. The buds sites are just getting bigger. Sorry for all the updates, things just seem to be happening fast up until this point.
Time to sit back for the next 6 weeks and watch things get Crazy
Here are some pics:
Instead of the plant having only one main cola and only the cola getting a decent amount of light, you train your plants to have more colas all around the same height so they get the same amount of light. Then you end up with a bunch of large buds instead of one large cola, and some pop corn bud. That's my understanding anyways.
If I didn't put that screen down I would have had 3 Super Tall plants, and 2 short bushy plants. The short plants would have been starved for light since I would not have been able to lower the light due to the taller ones. Also, the taller ones would have had huge cola's I'm sure, but what about the bottom of the plant three feet further away from the light? I don't think I'll ever grow a plant straight up without training it in some way unless it's an outdoor grow. There just seems to be so much potential wasted in a plant that is just grown straight up. I'm inexperienced though, and I could have it all wrong. This just seemed to be the right thing for my situation with the way these particular plants were growing.
