Alright chaps, i have got a few td's on the go and am thinking now that this 1 has grown to tall and am worried about the small wispy size of the buds at this stage compared to the shorter plants that are the same age. they seem to be much ferther on with the bud production.

This plant is over 56" tall now at day 46, loads of bud sights and at first i thought this plant was gonna be a monster untill this week it just kept getting taller n taller, and the others stopped stretching and started swelling instead.

Any help or advice welcome thanks.

The buds don't fatten up till the end. This one looks like its gonna flower for 10 weeks, while your shorter ones will probably only flower for 8 weeks. This is nothing to worry about because the buds WILL fatten up, just at a later date than the more indica phenotype.

Have you ever grown two different strains side by side that have different flowering periods? the longer flowering period plants stretch for 2-4 weeks after their first hairs, while shorter flowering plants only stretch for 1-2 weeks after their first hairs then begin to fatten up.

 :crying: that lady sure has some long legs mate. She will probably just take longer to mature, hopefully she will fatten up.

Also, I don't think I've ever heard of a fluffy Think Different. They're all good yielders from what I've seen.

And, even if she doesn't turn into ROCK HARD buds, you can be happy knowing that fluffier buds can physically fit more THC glands on them because the inside of the buds aren't touching each other. The "selection plateau" for cannabis has been reached. 15% is about the max a rock hard bud can have because its surface area decreases to just the outside of the bud. However, THC percentages can reach close to 30% on a super fluffy bud because they have much more surface area to make resin glands.

Wow....tall and slim like i like'em....wonder if shes into bondage i'd have her spead out and tied down...nice job im gonna order some think different fems next put in 10 gal. See what jumps up........beautiful work

that is a rare one, and probably a highly desirable pheno too. I bet she will yield well, I would just continue as normal and look forward to something special from the tall one. It could be epic! Please continue to post pics on that tall one, you could have a future classic there

Wow that's deep! Never thought of it like that....... Stop hating on fluffy buds people!

Hi GoTgReEn I got one of the fluffy phenos shes covered wit large tryks smells bad. Shes been hanging a week and shes the bad smells fading . She has a smell which reminds me of silver haze I grew a while back. The buds look very stange looking iv a grow in outdoors if you want to look . The other pheno I got smells beautiful very sweet shes still growing only started to flush her now . Good luck with the grow

Perhaps she is a 100 day pheno. My tallest TD was a good 8-10 inches taller than my other 2 (all grown in DWC) She yielded the most too almost 4 ounces :)

Thanks everyone for your help and advice, i really couldn't help thinking that she had over stretched and be a massive anticlimax by growing skinny wispy buds but all your words have helped me calm down a bit. This is still only my second attempt and i didn't do to well last time so I'll just have to wait n see.

Here's some more shots of her and another td same age at day 48 for bit of a comparison. thanks again to everyone that chipped in.
