Last weekend, as I cut my Pandora and trimmed it I marveled at the trichs and the overwhelming aroma of sandalwood. One branch with a few buds looked odd underneath and I mark it for inspection. The La Diva was unimpressive. Tonight, I cut out the buds for further drying and curing and a big seed slithered out. I stopped weighing immediately and just cut the remaining buds. A bud fell on the floor and I stepped on it--yes--immature seeds. There maybe some areas that are seedless. What gets me is how the plant continued to develop and pour on the trichs and at the same time self pollinate. The La Diva has no seeds. It is either genetic or my attempt at 24/0 lighting scheme put it in a survival mode. I will post a picture of a bud in a few days. Anyone had trouble with Pandora.

Hey there friend! That Pandora would be the same strain I am growing ATM  my plant is 47 days old.

I use a 22/2 light schedule, trying to maximize yield in a small space. I grow in bucket :D I created a thread here https://www.autoflower.org/f43/pandoras-bucket-soil-cfl-newb-6829.html

I have a question, did you sample the Pandora after going hermie? I would like to know if a hermied weed would be acceptable, or if it loses any qualities. My tolerance is low so I get stoned easily :toke:. I also thought that, maybe, having a hermie plant would be an easy and cheap way to have more seeds, what do you think?

Thanks for your input, it's greatly appreciated!

Greetings! :pimp:

sielm your lighting is fine. 24/0 in my opinion is not so good. I thought, I could get away with it using LED. The seed bank for the La Diva encouraged me with a statement to the effect that the strain (La Diva) could finish under 24/0 in x days. Consequently, I started both plants thru mid-flowering at 24/0 and noticed a sudden stand still. Could have been other factors I have now discovered, e.g. soil. Nevertheless, they need some darkness for sure. I, too, use a very small area and it is a burden. I do so because of traffic in and out of the house and am a firm believer in privacy, even though, I have MMC and own the house.

It is curing and I have not sampled it yet. It looks ok under scope and I will see how many seeds pop out. Photo of bud in picture section. It is not full of seeds like a normal pollinated female. The seeds from a hermie are used by some growers--I know--because I did some online research yesterday. Most discard them because of the genetics. I believe "Nelson" has a thread concerning this topic. Sent you a PM per your other question. Take it easy. I put this thread up for information and a little light humor.

I just have to chime in and say that smoking hermied weed with the pollen sacs in it is harsh ass smoke, but if it's just the seeds with no pollen, it should taste ok and still give you at least a couchlock high...

Many people use their bad hermies for cooking.....

You got that right surffreak23. Good idea fire up the crock pot. The old growth was not heavily laden with seeds--have just found a few so far. At least, two times, I have run into a nugget from a disp. with a mystery seed which surprises me (can't trim it all away or dig them all out).

That's good to know. I have read of more ppl having this herm issue with Pandora. If I remember correctly I think I also read about some ppl having trouble with Pandora not going auto.

The thing is, I don't really want my plant to go hermie because I prefer a good quality smoke, but if I got some seeds I would have some free ones to try outside. Spring is coming! :)

Thanks for the replies and good humour :D

Best regards!
