I was in a discussion a few weeks back where someone said that after the amber pools and the head clears again, it falls off leaving the thin amber tip on the trich stalk. My observations show me that the head shrinks and encloses the amber like a shrink wrap. Your series has shown enough different ones in the various stages of the shrink that it backs me up. Thanks.
Edit: My question now is, does the head constrict or, does the plant suck it out? Looking at my pic marked "canna resin tentacles" we can see how much control the plant has over the resin as they crawl up the vein.as a conduit like substance. Looking at your last pic that adjoins mine, the head and top of the stem are the same diameter and the stem appears to taper down in similar shots. That would indicate the liquid is being forced down rather than drawn out from the bottom. I love this stuff.
