Photography The Trichome Picture Thread

This is actually a great thread for people wanting to know when to harvest and when its too early.i could never find pics of trichs to actually see when to harvest so cloudy milky amber meant nothing to me,now these pics show cleary the different stages of trichs
can I ask, how far away from harvest do you think you're at with trichs like these?

If its any help... This is how I judged it, but its still drying/1st cure as we type, so take from it what you will/can (sample was nice).
Auto Brooklyn Sunrise in soil - organic indoor grow.
1 week before harvest, I had just started flush, and the trics looked like this.
Day 4 Final Flush (4).jpg

I don't have a pic (that I can find) on cut day, but this is the best I can do if it helps.... zoom in... (note to O.P.. Although not a tric shot - I hope this pic is OK as it helps answer)

And this is what they look like after 36 Hrs slow drying (checking for rot)....

That was taking a few days ago as you can see its nearly 100% cloudy trichs this means she is ready for a ten day flush so i can get a few amber aswell, some would harvest her now because she is at max thc potency but i want a bit of couch lock as well

@Cat

and here she is ready for harvest tomorrow as you can see she has about 20% amber now which is perfect for a balanced high

Hey @Nabzter,

If it's any help, after a bit of research I purchased the following from somewhere on E-bay.
Microscope.jpg

Make sure it has the above features and comes with a good solid base, as there are a lot inferior models out there, also I would advise against high magnification ones, although that may sound appealing (they require a very firm stand to be able to close focus, and these don't have that - and totally over the top for our requirements) 100 to 300 magnification is spot on... but get the 5 mp version.

This one cost me about £42.00... I thought the potential increase in yield over just one grow should more than pay for itself. Let alone trying to be able to spot problems (this is an outdoor plant of mine that was being eaten).
Leaf Damage 5.jpg

And you get nice pics.... Bonus.

Money well spent.... in my book!
