I did a little sciencey stuff this last run. I almost needed a white lab coat, that's how high-tech this shit is!
This is by no means meant to represent anything conclusive. This was just me playing around with things. At the same time, someone might just happen to add some constructive insight, possibly gained from personal experience, maybe having done something very similar with similar ingredients themselves...
My Tender Loving Care starts when I fill my pots with soil. I use 2/3 recycled soil from the last run, the last 1/3 is a 1:1 mix of fresh Compo Sana Quality Potting Soil and Worm Castings. When I get ready to grow, while my beans are bathing, waiting to sink, I fill my pots slowly, layer for layer, spraying the soil -dampening each layer of soil- as I fill them. Layer for layer till the pot is full, with a slight "drop to the floor" compression once in a while. This way my soil is mostly settled when I put the seeds in them.
This last run I used a few different additives mixed in with the water I used to spray the soil while filling the pots.
The plants I grew were Stone Dragons (SD) and a Royal Bluematic(RB) and CFL lights were on 24/0 till about week 3, then 20/4 till about week 6, then 18/6.
In each 3 liter airpot, I used 1 liter distilled water plus:
SD1 - 1ml Advanced Nutrients Voodoo Juice and 1gr Advanced Nutrients Piranha
SD2 - " " " " " " " " "
SD3 - 1ml BioBizz Fish Mix
SD4 - " " " "
SD5 - 1.5ml Atami ATA-zyme
SD6 - " " "
SD7 - 30ml Liquid Seaweed
RB - " " "
SD8 - Nothing added
Sprouting Order (after ~12 hr soak and beans right in the soil):
SD1 - 2 days
SD5 - 2 days
SD's 2, 4, 6, 7, and RB - 2.5 days
SD3 - 3 days
Sex Ratio:
SD1 - M - Day 18
SD2 - F(?) Day 19 - Prob. Herm. - Day 23
SD3 - M - Day 17
SD4 - F - Day 17
SD5 - F - Day 19
SD6 - M - Day 16

Piranha and Voodoo Juice given to all females at timed intervals throughout the cycle, which allowed the plants to produce a very good root system. A fat tap root with many strong side branches and billions and billions of "webby" capillaries. The contents of the pots was more sponge than soil after harvest.
I don't remember how the males' roots looked and I didn't document it. Too much high tech must have gotten me side-tracked...
