My 10 yo daughter was doing simple 3 digit subtraction the other day and I was watching her. She was doing some off the wall carrying of digits starting at the left instead of the right and I asked her why she was doing it that way. She said that is what they taught her. I am a electrical engineer and I have never seen anything so dumb in my life. I wanted to teach her the was we learned but I was afraid if I start I will screw everything up. I sincerely hope they have a plan for all this craziness because it isn't close to what we learned growing up.

I am with sniper, I always thought math was pretty simple until the more I see the way they are doing it now.

exactly if you teach them the easy way, they get a bad grade and confused.

My guess exactly, I figure they are going to build on it and then she will really be lost. It worries me when I see that stuff, me being the conspiracy theorists I wonder if the government isn't intentionally trying to screw them up to lower labor costs in the US. Not that we rank real high in education with the rest of the world already but I definitely don't want to see them compared with Mexico in ten years.

Nice ambers it looks like ya got there brother Smooth skin(Alien LMFAO) do you have a manual focus on your camera?if so try using small overheads like T8 or 12 lighting(standard lighting just so you can see a bit) and spend a cpl minutes working that 10 degree spin of the focus knob and seeing whats in focus and try taking a dozen or so at different distances(like a 1-2 inch difference)and focus point,Im betting yer gonna get some seriously nasty killer tric shots of the hardcore narcotic looking bud man!!Hope your good bro!!:Sharing One:
