Day 19
Watered the three girls I transplanted on Monday. Just gave water(6.3) in the tiered party cups, since they have not grown past its diameter yet.
Otherwise the containers are pretty dry for the first 2 inches down.
I think those 3 are looking better. Getting color back and the leaf curl is going away. I don't see any vert. or horiz. growth, but I'm hoping that is because they are focused on dropping roots into the new soil.

Transplanted the fourth girl(60 day wonder) today and watered it in. Couldn't get to it any earlier. It was pretty root bound in the party cup. I probably damaged some roots cutting the bottom off. It is still discolored and has leaf curl.

I will try to post pictures tomorrow.

Damn ac duct parts did not show, so still running a little hot in there. Mostly between 77 and 84. I have the plants going dark during the hot part of the afternoon. Hope it helps.
Supplementing with frozen water bottles in the mean time.

Day 20 update and pics

Pics are from yesterday. A side by side comparison with the earlier pics is pretty telling. As is the difference between the 60 Day Wonder (transplanted Friday) with the plants that were transplanted on Monday (SAS, Vertigo, NL). Color is better, leaf curl is going away. No real growth yet as they are probably working hard on dropping roots in the new containers. I figure that developmentally, they are at about day 10.
Hoping to start light nutes at the end of next week. Please let me know what you think about it.

If there is ever a Teacup Dwarf competition on AFN, I will be a lock. I expect to yield at least a one-hitter each from these babies!

Looking better but still a bit pale. I would suggest getting some household ammonia and mixing it 1 part ammonia to 10 parts water. Mist them with it once a day for 3 days. That will give them a bit of N and should green the leaves up and give them a boost.

Received and installed AC duct parts yesterday. Now have an AC vent in the closet where my tent resides. I'm still a little dehydrated.
It hasn't made the difference I had hoped for. Looking for suggestions....

Rundown:
Tent is in a closet, closet is in a bedroom. Thermostat is set to 76, bedroom stays at 76. Closet stays at about 77, because the tent gives off heat and warms the closet a little.
Inside the tent, temps range between 77-82 with one of my two 200w Feliz CFL's. We can add another 5 degrees if I turn on the second CFL.
With the thermostat set at 76, the AC runs for 20 min., then shuts off for about an hour. The vent blows 52 degree air for 20 min. each hour and everything cools to the lower end of the range, then starts heating up during the AC off period.
Logic would seem to dictate that I need to set the thermostat at 70 to enable me to run both CFL's. That's really not possible because I probably couldn't afford it and because that would be expecting to achieve a 30 degree differential between inside and outside temps in the middle of summer.
So, what to do?
I have 4 plants currently in 3 gal containers(9x9x10) and I have to raise the light to about 8 in. to get coverage from the one light. There are about 10k lumens(per light) to work with and considering the distance from the canopy that I have to maintain, I'd probably be lucky if I'm getting 1500 lumens/plant while using one light.

Should I kill off 2 of the plants and just live with one light closer to the canopy with lower temps?
Should I lower the thermostat as much as I can and live with the temps spiking to 85-88 for about 20 minutes every hour while running 2 lights over all 4 plants?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Headed in for CT scan results in a few hours. Fingers crossed. Hopefully and end to 3 weeks of incessant poking and prodding.
:p

Let me see if I'm understanding this correctly. The tent is in the closet and has a 200 cfm fan exhausting it. So the air intake is from the closet. How is air getting from the room into the closet?

I added a vent in the closet. Ran a duct off the central AC unit in the attic. Getting fresh air and whatever co2 the house air has.

Day 26 update -

Watered entire containers for the 1st time since transplant. Added Grow Big at 1/8 strength (1/4tsp per gal) to get some N, and give the girls a taste for nutes.

Still have the ongoing dilemma regarding running my second light. May have to kill off 2 of the plants if I can't get it sorted.

Showing decent horiz and vert growth. Have some upturned leaf edges and a leaf on one plant canoeing a little. I had lowered the light quite a bit and I suspect it caused this, so I raised it up 4 in to give them a little break. Will keep an eye on it over the weekend.

Should be able to post pictures tomorrow.

Have a nice weekend everybody!
:peace:
