So, I've finally put one of my seeds into water - a 3 Bears Og. It's been staring me down for ~a month, a little more, but I've been planning this grow for about 2 years, so a month is like, super quick for me.
Anyhow, rockwool cube has been soaked in 5.5ph water (ish - still using ph drops currently), seed is in water, and I will transfer it as soon as it sinks.
First of all, the traditionally formatted setup information.
Grow Area:
1m x 1m x 2m Tent
5" fan and Rhino Pro filter
Lighting:
DIY Cobs - 5xCitizen 048-1212s@1.4A - 250w at full blast.
Nutrients/Supplements:
Local 4-2-6 fertilizer with 6% micros and a touch of Cal/Mg (can post full analysis if anyone wants it, but I won't name the product for infosec reasons)
AN Calmag
PK boost will be purchased as necessary, if at all.
Medium:
Coco-perlite 50/50 mix. Was going to go with straight coco but couldn't find a reliable brand.
Pots:
7.5l square pots
Plan is to run drain to waste (coco as hydro), but also to do a perpetual growing more than one strain.
Starting off, like I said, with one 3BOG. If all goes well, some other strain in a couple weeks (Supernatural OG/Sour Stomper), and so on.
For now, I'm planning to hand water - I'm home a lot and that should be doable. Eventually, especially if fertilization demands are more or less similar, I hope to get some sort of drip system set up, but for now, I figure hand watering will teach me the most.
Oh, and most importantly - big big thanks to the homie @slowandeasy who has really been very generous with help, etc. I would have probably gone for a very different set up if not for him.
