i got a noob question i know very little about outdoor or bugs pests etc. but my first reaction to this is does it not also kill all the beneficial bacteria or would that only be a worry in a organic garden ? and another question will it kill fungus gnats ?
@St. Tom
@Proph

Just a quick update to keep you in the loop!
I found out the problem when transplanting... shite coco!!
I normally use bio nova coco bricks but the shop never had any so got U-Grow block instead! I potted up some photo plants I had in solo cups and they look awful so I put some of the coco in a cup and poured 0 e.c water through it and the runoff was 0.9 e.c!! Add that to the 0.8 e.c of the first feed and we have plant poison!! I have no idea what the 0.9 e.c in the block is either, all I know is all my plants nearly died because of it! I have called the shop and told them and also sent an email to U-Grow!
I have removed the seedlings best I could, flushed the coco and repotted! A few look like they wont make it but fingers crossed I got the rest sorted in time!
Will keep you guys updated ✌✌
sorry to hear you had issues with sub par coco i take it you were happy with the bio nova bricks iv seen it in my local for a good price but never knew anyone who had used it so was hesitant to try it
@St. Tom have you tried the pro canna coco if so is it worth the extra few quid a bag also have you heard of ecothrive they make charge and biosys two products iv started using and i really noticed a difference there coming out with there own coco already mixed with charge excited to try it if its the price is right and for the organic guys they have a ready to go super soil i imagine we will see more people using there range over the next year or two as word gets round
