i wish i could find the battle rules for this some are different i guess.solo cup.2L bottle amd anything goes battles
more guidence notes than rules spose minuimum amount of updates needed to quailify for polls is 6 updates....that lets you have 2 weeks off,i might have a week off to the norm has been weekly updates.if unlucky you could go 14 weeks till 420 14 updates so tag your TL that could be

Sown yesterday..all above ground..few to shed casings still...I left enough room in containers so more soil can be added as it gains height

The First leg Big Battle thread 2020.


Battle Rules 2020


From 1st Jan 2020 Grow Battle will be 2 x 6 month legs.

The First leg will start 1st January to Poll Date 20th April 2020:
Final Poll photo due before 10th April 2020

The Second leg will run from 20th April 2020 until 31st October 2020
Final Poll photo before 21st October 2020..

and will run 6 monthly from then.

For the purposes of Battle Polls a Battle Year will run from October to October to avoid Festivus.

Top 5 Growers from Both legs will then be Polled to decide the Overall AFN Grower of the Year.

To qualify to Poll growers must provide a germ photo with Battle code..a final photo with Battle codes and 6 other updates through the duration of the grow.

If you do not provide one the Latest photo from your updates will be used.

No updates will be collected during the staff Christmas/New Year Holidays


Battle Staff will be available in the Big Battle thread from Friday Night until Monday morning every weekend to collect your updates.

Sorry..running late... ..Revised Battle Rules 2020.

We looked at the Problem areas we had 2019 and we have Hopefully made it much easier for everyone.

First off...no fixed Start date...so if you have late delivery or germ fail..you still have time to compete..
Start anytime...Fixed Poll date.

Both Polls will be tied in to an AFN Party...Last photo will be required 10 day Before Poll date to allow Staff to set the poll up.
so..
Final Photos due First leg 10th April
Final Photos due 21st October.

6 monthly legs...Should make it easier to juggle room/tent space.
We noticed that some of the long grow periods..or extreme training did not have enough time to mature on the 3 months legs..so this should accommodate these growers.
Plus..with 6 month legs..we can Include photoperiod growers.....so...lets give it a Go.....

Weekly Updates...sticking rigidly to weekly updates caused Problems for anyone with holidays/sickness or just real life steeping in...so we have Cut them.

We want 1 germ photo with Battle Codes..1 Final photo with Battle Codes..and 6 other updates to qualify a grower to be able to Poll.

This gives much more flexibility for the grower.
You chose which 6 updates you want used....

For the Official Updates...you Must tag a member of Staff in and specify..1st update..second update etc.
With staggered start times it is not possible for us to specify weeks for you.

IF YOU CAN THREADMARK your updates...it would be Much appreciated..coz it is easier for the Staff to pick them up..if you can't...Tag a member of staff and they will threadmark for you.

I will get an Official update template done..and don't worry...it is very simple.....

I'll update you when it is done.

And...remember....You can make as Many updates as you want.......you can do a thousand word and photos a Day...But..we will Only be copying 6 of them for your Vendor forum/official entry...so select your Best...

You provide update number..day your grow is in the update.....and 1 photo Only.....couldn't get much Simpler...........huh........?

We don't know how many individual GOTY comps we have yet for 2020..But..a simple example is..if you were doing a seed comp and a lighting comp..
you would need to do an update for both products to be included.

But that is your Official updates...to qualify to be included in the Poll...you can makes as many unofficial updates as you want...it is a Grow Show..

Silly me forgot to put my seeds into the tent for heat when germing so things are starting off a little slow. 3 of 4 up after 4 days in coco and 1 day soaking!

I know what you mean @St. Tom Nice to see different stages in the tent My reveg's at the back are flying and my chicken bucket is loving life

Sorry guys it's all gone tits up I could b moving a hell of alot sooner than expected, could be in the next couple of weeks, so I haven't been able or allowed to set up my extra veg cupboard So for now I have to start them in my already almost full to the brim tent, which is on a 12/12 light cycle and soon as I get moved in I'll get something sorted

After 5 days neither of the two seeds I popped for the HSO 2l battle have germed, so I just dropped 2 more.

If anyone has any type of germ issues, please be sure to post them and tag the battle leader!
