Hi everyone. I have a few questions on my first outdoor grow as well as my first AF grow, and I was hoping a few of you would be able to help me. I am going to try 5 AF's on my terrace this spring, May 1st to be exact. The part of my terrace I will have my girls on will be facing the east where they will get light from sunrise to aprox 2pm. So they will be getting about 8-10hrs of direct light during the summer. They should be shaded during the hottest part of the day. Will this be enough light for them or to much? Also, do any of you have any suggestions on pot sizes for outdoors? I do not want them to get to large for sake of keeping it somewhat stealth. And my last question is, any suggestions on AF's that do not smell so heavy? I know all cannabis smells, but some not as bad as others and any info would be very helpful. Thanks in advance :D

Heya Thai, thanks for the reply! :) I will go to Vienna next week to pick up my beans and I will start them by the 15th of this month. I plan on having them under cfl-2x55watt to get them started. Unfortunately I do not think roadrunner is available for me. Here is a list of beans I am able to get safely. Dutch Passion: Taiga, Tundra, PolarLight #2, SnowStorm # 2, AutoBlueberry, AutoMazar. Paradise Seeds: Auto Maria 1&2, Pandora and Vertigo. White Lable: Snow Ryder. Green House Seeds: Green-o-matic, Super Critical and Big Bang. Nirvana Seeds: Auto-Blue Mystic, Auto-Bubblelicious, Auto-Northern Light and Jock Horror AF. I am just looking for something that has a somewhat fruity smell and trying to avoid the skunk smells that I really enjoy, but only indoors with carbon filter ;) Opps, scratch that. I found a shop in Wein that has roadrunner 2 :D

I second Thai's advice.
If you're goin for stealthness you can do it in 1-2 gallon, i've often used 5L pots with decent results.
You can be surprised by how much these little plants can smell so if this is an issue stay away from diesel crosses (like RR#2) and start with few to stay safe.
Also be careful cause some of the strains you named are NOT true AF, thats because most big seedbanks jumped on the af bandwagon without serious breeding work.
I know for sure:

Taiga -> NOT AF
Tundra -> NOT AF
WL Snow Ryder -> NOT AF
Auto-BM Auto-Bubble Auto-NL Auto-JH -> NOT AF

Best of luck

Thanks for the kind input Krull. I just came across a seed bank in Vienna that carries Mossy's Purple JEMS and LOWLIFE Auto Blueberry :D I talked to Wiz earlier today about the smell factor and he gave me some great advice on how to help control that end by growing jasmine and mint as well I plan on adding some lavender. I also plan on having quite a selection of other herbs such as thyme, rosemary, oregano. My terrace is 18 m2, so I have much room to play with. I only plan on having 5 ladies, 6 max for this outdoor season. If for some reason things get to be to much I will put them inside in my Homebox XL to be safe. Thanks again for the heads up on the AF's that are not true AF's. I am new to these and was completely unaware this was the case. Have a great day and enjoy the upcoming season

Heya John, I had found and read your write up from the 1st link last night (good job) and found that to answer all my soil questions :) and just finished reading the second link you have kindly shared, also really good and helpful information. I am really happy I came across this site. I have gotten fantastic info for this years outdoor auto crop and I am so damn excited to get it started. Everyone here is very kind and helpful with great suggestions! I am at 47.5 latitude and it seems there should be no problems with optimal weather come May 1st to get this project going. I plan on making a grow journal with plenty of photos. I am sure I will come across some problems and photos really help identify those quickly. Fingers crossed hoping there are not to many problems and more canna porn to share rather than sad looking ladies :D Have any of you grown Mossy's purple JEMs or Lowlife Auto Ak47 x Auto Blueberry? I found a shop in Vienna that carries them and plan on going next week to pick up 10 beans of each. I was looking into picking up some Dutch Passion auto Blueberry also, but I was reading some very disturbing reviews about them turning hermie, do any of you know about this issue and if it has been fixed? Also any suggestions on good outdoor autos would be helpful :D Thanks again for the kind words and all the helpful suggestions :D

glad to help... not familar personally with the first 2 strains... but lowlife's autoberry (got mine from marijuana-seeds.nl) is kickass! last harvest was almost 3 ounces even off 1 plant!
Highly reccomended strain... got the killer blueberry flavor and buzz... trich production is phenominal and yield is fntastic!

I've hear bad things about dutch Passion's auto berry as well... i'd steer clear especially for a first time auto grower... :)

Hope this helps.
JM

Good to hear about lowlife blueberry! Do you know if they grow good outdoors? or any AF's that you know of that work well outdoors? The shop I plan on visiting has a few of those seeds still in stock. I hope they do not run out by next weekend when I visit. I am to paranoid to order via mail beings the country I am in is not 420 friendly :( But Austria is pretty relaxed and only 3-4hr drive to Vienna for me :D
