Tent Zippers

When I first got my tent, there were spots where the zipper would get caught up. I rubbed a candle into the zipper and filled it with wax, that solved the problem pretty much.
The zipper should also wear in with time,if its a new tent you have.

Its usually the bit of material on the back of the zip athat gets caught up on the zipper,
When opening the tent door,,
Use 2 hands & Put 1 finger on the back of zip and the other hand to pull the tab on the front zip in the direction needed,
It won't get caught up then unless you have damaged the zipper teeth,
Hope this helps

My gorilla tent has decent zippers.

I just wish the main flap zipper was a 2 way, or reversed as I mostly just need to open the bottom to water.

I had the same problem which drove me crazy.
After a while I figured out a way to manipulate the zipper - Never up to the top !

The curved door tents seem to have the most issues. I used some lithium grease on my old vivosun that helped. I prefer the gorilla tents now for the straight zippers and better access. Plus the height extensions.
