Hello,

Noob here, seeds on their way. Was planning on outdoor grow in smart pots w coco/perlite mix, but am now looking at doing this indoors.

I have quite a small area to work with -
36" wide (MAX! walls on each side)
22" deep (but could go to 24" deep if needed)
48" high (but would prefer to stick with 36" high, as the floor of this tent will already be at about 50" above the floor,, requiring a ladder to reach the tops).

For this journey I'll be running (2) 3-gallon smartpots with (1) White Widow Autoflower and (1) GSC Autoflower.

Is there a sense I can get away with a 36" high tent? It may not seem like much but it would be preferred.

Any known tents that kind of fit these dimensions that anyone's aware of?

Thanks

height of pot 12",minimun distance between plant and light 12",6" above the light and the light is 2" thick.what size is the plant gonna be ?
ladders and stoned dont mix.
good luck n keep er lit

don't really know, first grow. Being Autoflowers, I understand that Autos most don't get much taller than 18" or so, but again haven't tried this yet. If I could find my way to 5 ft, the gorilla 2x2.5 shorty would be ideal but that (height) is going in the "wrong" direction.

Not concerned about on ladders while buzzed, won't be mixing (but thanks for the warning!)

im a shite grower,a good grower can X2 X4 this.

maybe 10 years ago,but nowadays autos arnt a kick n arse off photoperiods.
5ft tent is like the standard minimum.my pots are 27cm tall and light is 22cm from the roof, and if there should be minimum of 30cm between light and plant.27+22+30=79cms or 31" thats wasted height before ya add in a plant.
ya could grow sideways so to speak, with a lot of plant training.
good luck n keep er lit (when not around ladders)

thanks, I guess I'll have to poke a hole in the ceiling! (j/k)

I got a 5 foot and a 4 foot tent and will be upgrading them both. I've had autos hit 44 inches and that's with training. 44 inches finished in 77 days and got over 6 Ounces. There is small varieties like sour crack and 24 carat and other small Ryder's still available to fit in your grow space. Most autos have came too far to accept less than 5 feet of.space. with higher intensity lights even more space is needed. i had an auto hit 26 inches in a solo cup. And most of my one gallon autos hit 28-36 inches.

What lights seeds and nutrients are you using?

For me, this is probably a once per year process (personal consumption only), not continuous, so production is not important. And since this is startup, haven't been using anything so far.

lights: still looking, but probably the HLG 100 or an Amazon equivalent EVQ (both with Samsung LM301B LEDs)
Seeds: Auto White Widow and Auto Girl Scout Cookies, both from SeedKing
Nutrients: Still exploring, but will be coco based. Considering Canna or FloraFlex, possibly others

Some autos stay short, but most don't.
I had to go to smaller hydro reservoirs to avoid 7 ft tall autos that got about 7 gallons of fluid each.
Now they stay around 4 ft tall in about 1.5 gallons of fluid each.
A couple of those 7 footers (different grows) eventually took over a whole 3 x 3 ft and yielded a pound dry, but they took about 18 weeks total.

I bit the bullet today and bought the Gorilla 2x2.5 x 4'-11" tent, so this issue is now closed. Thanks to all who responded.
