My first post here on the AFN! Here is my first TD grow at 76 day. Goes into 3 days dark tomorrow.
Grown in Coco, I kept it small by keeping in a small pot. AN nutrients, from seed under the Dutch passion LED.
Thanks fellows! The main cola is at the widest point approx 8 cm x 17 cm high! Like I am right now after vaping some popcorn buds from day 66. I am at this moment thinking differently, and I like it. This little plant was grow from seed to day 15 in a gutted apple G5. I bought 2 of the DP LEDs. One of them I used for parts- building them into the G5.
Scroll forward - this 1st attempt at TD-day 30 till today-20/4 with full output of the DP LED kept about 15cm from the top cola. I used, don´t laugh, Volvic and Mineral water. Ion my neck of the woods, there are all sorts of little springs selling bottled water- I chose the one with the highest Calcium and magnesium. Maybe it worked, who cares - I think different. My lady beckons it is time to eat- back in a few
You think I can let her go longer? At the moment the cocos is almost bone dry - but if you think i can let it go, why not? I am game. I did however trim a bunch of the beautiful dried multi coloured fan leaves-
What do your trics look like? I think you can wait. I've only grown 1 auto to harvest (I'm growing 2 more now). Probably the most challenging thing for me was to wait. I started the water-only "cleanse" at 81 days, and chopped at 100 days.
I thought it was ready at 62 days. Told to wait 3 weeks -- which seemed completely unreasonable. But, during that time (and the 19-day cleanse) the buds fattened up incredibly.
You could look at my grow journal for that plant. Maybe the photos would help you gauge how much time you have. That post was at 62 days. You can see subsequent posts with photos showing what the plant looked like when cleanse was begun, and when chopped.
Ultimately, it took that kind of long/slow die-off before the trics turned cloudy. I was basing my expectations on the "when to harvest" and "lifecycle" stickes on this site which describe letting the plant die off through natural causes. If I'd focused on trics (like people do with photosensitives), I would have waited just as long. But, I would have felt something was wrong because of the way the trics stayed clear as the plant yellowed, lost leaves, etc.
