Can I use this tap water for a 50/50 FFOF and HF soil grow? Will it create problems?
I'll be using Grow More nutes.

Here's what my water district responded with:

pH generally is kept at 8.0 and TDS ranges from 500mg/l to 800mg/l depending on the source that we are using at the time. And yes, we are using chloramine as our disinfectant.

yeah chloramine bad bro. I know its a lil money but I just buy 28 pack r/o bottled water for $4. and it works awesome for my ph perfect nutes. its always right near 7.6 ph and ppm of 46. hope that help ya out

There nothing bad with using tap water as long as you let it sit at least a day so the chlorine can evaporate , just make sure you keep an eye on the pH of the soil also. But if you have better water supply like r/o water (reverse osmosis). Or rain water use it instead. I know near my home there water filling stations that fill up 1 gallon and 5 gallon jugs with r/o water for like 25 cents a gallon.

ive seen some writings that suggest that Chloramine's do in fact evaporate fully after something like 28 day treatment n bubbled n so forth but what a giant waste of other resources to do so..lol! but yes avoid that chit if ya can lol:Sharing One:

Ooohhhhh just reread the part where it says its treated with chloramine could've swore it said chlorine stoner moment, with having to have it sit for 28 days you're gonna need a lot of reserve and pumps to bubble it. Just go buy water lol

Wonder if a Brita or pur filter would work to get out the chloramine?

no nowhere where it needs to be..think of it a similar to teflon actually.most filters wont touch many traces of teflon as well as chloramine.yeah buy it or seek it elsewhere unless your doing chems then its fine really.lol well mostly anywho.
