That is what I am learning Atulip. I am looking at a canon MP-E65mm F2.8 1-5x macro lens. I was just hoping there was something I might be missing. A lot of cash just for a lens but if you want the best shots you got to pay. As said before wicked shots Tang and if you plan on getting better you will need to learn 3D ultra sounds so we can look right into the plant. LOL

Yeah I've been putting in some OT at the day job and gonna copy @TaNg's gear. I was leaning towards Nikon since they're all the same F mount I might can find some decent used lenses in the future. Check eBay if you haven't. I'm working with a $500-600 budget and it's looking pretty doable if I pick up a camera body only and go straight for the dx micro 40mm lens. Should leave just enough for a few accessories.

"Ultimate guide to photography 2016" has been helpful in understanding all this mumbo jumbo for me.

We have chain of stores in Ontario Canada called HENRYS camera they are huge and rate and guarantee there used equipment. They have a great internet presence and the canadian dollar is down the toilet you might catch a great deal there just a thought. Enough hijacking brother tangs thread bro PM me or will start are own thread bro.

Tang what lense are you using to take macro shots?

Mines only an entry level Nikon 40mm Macro bro the MPE 65mm is what the pros use and some serious dollar, you will be able to take some amazing close ups with that lens. Here's an example from one of my favourite canna photographers Shwale...

Also check this vid out bro.

I should also add my old Fuji bridge camera was used for the pics in this thread so you can still take great pics with a cheap camera.

yeah the nikor's are uber expensive.the best imo is that expensive lens which I dont have and the extender tube and for extra depth you can also get a remote flash to offset the colors or flash blindness or off pics. but yeah man they look spectacular indeed.I wanna get one but ots a 150USD buy atm which I aint got. lovely pics man!! you can see the quality in the lenses over mine.

The camera wasn't bad at £300 but yeah for an entry level Macro lens the Nikon 40mm was pricey at £200, saying that I'm super happy with the results. Here's some pics of the Sour Stomper I have on the go now, it's about as close as l can get remaining relatively sharp.
